bad liver function and kidney function, is it due to drug?

ok here is the question?  I had surgery, then withdrew from fentanyl, my post are all over here.  sometime during the past month my dr ordered some blood work and today called me to say my liver and kidneys are not functioning and my sugars are high. once before, years ago this happen with my liver due to to much meds, can this be the case now? does anyone else had this happen to them? should I be worried?

If you can get a copy of the results...you can research it and get more info...also he should sit down and talk with you...let him know u r concerned

the test were run when I was still on fentanyl and the others like viocoden and norco. and, no I never drink.  the viocoden contains a lot of tylenol which I know isn't good for the liver, but do not know about the kidneys, this is scaring me.

Im sure he did all the correct blood work, they do basic chem panels and cbc. That covers most of the systems. Just ask him specific questions about the tests he already ran. Did he run a Hemoglobin A1C? (sugar test)  Which liver enzymes were elevated? How high is your creatinine? (kidney test).Did he offer any kind of medications? suggest some more in depth tests, tell him you are concerned! You have a right to know.

I have another app on the 25th, but I am thinking of calling in and asking for more blood work to be done before that. I was  on the fentanyl since last summer till feb 1st. its a mean nasty drug to come off of too.

Not sure if you read my story on here, but I as well detoxed off of a pain killer, which slung me into diabetes. Fentanyl, is prolly one of the strongest pain killers there are, so Im sure your body has been slung into something, However, DO listen to your doc, find out numbers, ask questions, dont be shy, after all it IS your body.

Im sure it could be blamed on the meds.....exactly how bad are your #'s? Hopefully just slightly off and you just have to follow up with repeat labs to see if they improve? What did your doctor say? Wishing you the best.
