buprenorphine addiction

How can I get rid of buprenorphine? I've been on it for the last twelve years.  I've tried tapering, but whether I take 16 or 2 mgs, the withdrawal is just as bad... Thank you for your answers.

Wow 12 years!? That's real maintenance. Have you talked to your prescribing physician? If so, what do they have to say about it? Have you thot about in patient care or a detox facility? These are just something to think about. I too struggled with buprenorphine, but I abused it rather than taking it under supervision. It's doable, but CT is very hard. Can u give us a lil background info?

Unfortunately, you will probably need assistance from a treatment program. Twelve years on any kind of drug is going to be hard to quit. Luckily, there are programs who can help you with a treatment plan. It's not going to be easy, but no road to recovery ever is. Without some support or treatment, you will find it easier to relapse. I wish you luck on your journey. Stay positive and remember anything is possible, if you put your mind to it.
