I've done it that way but my experiences have always been that you prolong the torture. You did the right thing to taper down to 50 mg. However, I believe that you will be able to jump from here. I'm not a dr. , just an addict. I'm over 3 weeks off of tramadol now and life is much better than it was before. All that being said, we are all different and you have to do what works for you. Good luck and keep us posted. If you ever need to talk about it, feel free to pm me. I've done this twice now. Make sure you stay committed months down the road as the memory of this he11 fades. ....gclean
I would space your dose out further during the day. A slow taper is what you have to do. Try bumping your afternoon dose out till the evening. Do not jump off this dose you have been on it to long and at a high dose. Keep slowly tapering and it will get better in time
I have experience with this crap. You are at a low enough dose to stop. It won't be fun for a couple weeks due to the snri properties, but I promise that it will be tons better when you are done with this poison. Good luck and feel free to pm me!!! ....gettn clean
u r so close//at 50 mgs a night u r so close to being clean...
perhaps try going to 3/4 of a 50 mg pill for a week//then half for a week//then a 1/4 of a pill...play it by ear//may be longer than a week til u can drop that 1/4 of a pill...do u have a dr who can help u with this? there r also OTC drugs/supps that can help like valerian root, melatonin, benadryl etc...do what u gotta do...keep posting here as there is lots of support here...the health pages r full of good info too
hang tight
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your taper, I don't know much about trams, but weaning off is the way to go with this drug, it can be dangerous to c/t from. Try checking out the thomas recipe in the health pages here in the top right of this page under health pages, it can help with w/d's. Melatonin works for some to help with sleep and hot hot baths do too. There are many here coming off tramadol and been successful so you will get some better advice soon. Best of luck and it will get so much better, just takes some time.
p.s. How long before you make the jump from your taper?
