Sorry I dozed off..... Try to sleep as much as I can.  I told my boss that my Doc prescribed some new BP meds that are making me dizzy and a lil weird so seems to be okay with that. The aches and pains and chills are the hard physical reality. But I gotta get through it! You guys are helping me so much! Thank you!

Thanks Buddy! I'm going to a NA meeting in an hour and I hope it'll help! I need to get my head around what's happening to me and have a support group to talk me through!

So I/we will assume some things.  You have been taking 12-15 percs per day for quite a while.  You are now on day 2 of Cold Turkey.  About now you should be feeling like crap.  Aching back, foggy head, legs jumping all over, irritable, stomach problems, causing many trips to the bathroom.  It feels like a terrible case of the flu.  Are we right?  For many of us days 3-5 are the worst.  Make sure you keep pumping the fluids in. (gatorade, vitamin water) Scroll down and follow the Thomas Recipe.  Make sure you have imodium with you as you will need it.  If you are going to continue to work like some of us did, you will need to stay focused and keep busy.  You will be tired but you must push thru.  One thing that should already be firmly planted in your brain is that under NO circumstances will you take a pill.  You will think that just one will help the symptoms but it will not.  Once you get thru those first five days, life gets easier each day.  For right now take it hour by hour and consider each a success.  Dont give up!!  You can do it!

Hi Troy, I'm day 13 clean today, the first 6 for me were hell, i worked through them, even though i didn't feel well, I didnt want to be at home dwelling on my WD, and with the tempation of just saying screw it and grab some percs... so i came to work to keep busy.... yes it was hard, but i managed to get through.... it's totally up to you, some people can work through the WD some cannot, I forced myself to... for me it's what I needed to do!!  Good luck to you, there are many many great people here with excellent advice.....

alot of people have posted the protein drink at GNC with aminoacid helps with energy.  B12 b6   what are your symptoms?  I havent been through WD yet myself but I have been doing alot of reading on here and there is alot of help on here. I know they will respond and help you Good luck and sending you positive thghts

Cold turkey? From what? How many days without? What's the worst symptom?

You might consider taking sick time. Some folks can work but it's like working when you have the flu. Very unpleasant.

I manage a hotel and have to be in control all the time.... This is so hard to give over the control and just get clean
