day 3

hi everyone, its day three and my friend is doing ok i think. all though he is trying to convince me that he needs just one more pill right now to feel normal. i can see him getting anxious about it. it's a little strange to me. its like i am seeing the things you are all telling me unfolding. i hope he doesn get too bad. he is talking about trying Suboxone. i would love any more info or experiences on it. i like being prepared for things. also, the taper plan i got from IB is good, it gave me an idea but i think it may be just a little too aggressive for him. its been 3 days but i am not sure i should take him down a pill. any suggestions?

his DOC is vicodin. he is NOT having a good day. he is not being himself at all. i did not expect this so soon. i guess i wasnt really ready. how do i help him and not let my feelings take over??? he seems depressed and angry and he feels sick! oy!

What's his DOC, amt. and last day of taper...just curious...i wouldn't give any more...that's the whole point..to taper off of them.....

The bad thing w/ a taper is ..you are still doing the doc, but not catching a buzz and it messes w/ you....i did a taper but it took a lot of determination

Yeah, I have a suggestion.. DO NOT TAKE THEM ANY MORE PILLS!  It doesn't matter how many they say they need to feel normal(normal is never enough anyway))

Also, if they are quitting than giving them pills even a little to help be :(normal) is just going to hurt their recovery and set them back..  BE THE STRONG ONE FOR THEM, AND NO NOT GIVE INTO THE TEMPTATION AND EXCUSES TO GIVE THEM PILLS WHEN THEY NEED TO NOT BE TAKING ANYTHING TO RECOVER AND DETOX!!
