day 48 clean and my pain is off the charts

The pain I was originally in before I took pain meds is now at an all time new high. Back pain, 5 bulging disks, neck pain, fibryo, shoulder pain knee pains, are all so bad, I can hardly stand it. I am juicing , taking MSM, lidocain patches, chiropractor, ect., ect. So on and so forth. I feel like Im living as a vegetable. Sometimes I cry so much from pain and start to think about going back on the pain meds, just to have a normal life again. What to do, what do do!

ty both so muc for encouraging responses. I take some herbal stuff from the health food store, like , Zyflamend P.M. which contains alot of good stuff including Valerian Root, but Ive been reading that even VR can be toxic on the liver, New Chapter.. Perfect Calm, Melatonin.. also can be toxic after a while, 5-HTP... but found its conctipating for me, Curamin for pain. Some help me sleep, some help to cal me some, for pain, all is temporary, and I mean like works for 2 hrs and back to no sleep or excrutiating pain. I use a hydrollac wet pad, ( like the chiropractor uses on me) when my pain is intolerable, Lidocain Patches, aspercreme,  Same-E, VtiC's, Primrose,  Juicing, Noni Juice, Fish Olil, and my husband massages me from time to time. BUT I am depressed cause this is all my life is right now. I want to do things, but know I can only get ready to go out, then go out, only to trun back within the hour due to pain after all this. I am getting depressed so bad, where I wasnt before,. Rick, what else do you take to help you? Hi Baba, how are you doing?

First of all take a DEEP breath and exhale a couple of times. Second congrats on 48 days clean that's quite an accomplishment. What you are feeling now is called rebound pain. I was were you are now early in my recovery and I know how real the pain is.

What is going on is your brain is trying to heal itself but because of all the manufactured dopamine that acts upon the brain’s reward system by flooding the circuit with dopamine. As a person continues to overstimulate the “reward circuit”, the brain adapts to the overwhelming surges in dopamine by producing less of the hormones or by reducing the number of receptors in the reward circuit. As a result, the chemical’s impact on the reward circuit is lessened, reducing the drug-abuser’s ability to enjoy the things that previously brought pleasure.[16] This decrease compels those addicted to the dopaminergenic-effect of the drug, to increase the drug consumption in order to re-create the earlier or initial experiences and to bring their "feel-good" hormone level back to normal —an effect known as tolerance.

And now what does that all mean, your brain needs to heal because it is causing you pain to feed it. This will pass I promise. The best thing you can do for yourself right now is get into a hot tub, sauna or hot shower. It helps relax the muscles and hence the pain. I use herbal remedies for my pain and if you want a list just PM me. I know it's tough right now but don't give up we have all been through this. I promise you it will get better. I will pray for you and hope God takes some of your pain from you. God Bless---Rick

Hey there... Im so sorry your in pain. I know youve got a lot of medical issues. Is the pain constant or does it come and go? Have you ever tried lidoderm patches and compounded pain cream? Its non narcotic what im talking about. Is your pain isolated or everywhere? Did the juicing help at all? Did your weather change for the worst? So sorry to hear your having a bad day. I know your so strong. I know your hurting. Im sending you a big huge gentle hug.
