depression

Since I have been weening off these I have been depressed and my husband of 5 years says he's going to leave. Life will be a little lonely without him but the bright side is I will have more money. He is a gambler of the worst kind and  has no intentions of stopping. If he can't go the the casino/track he has to have the scratch off tickets or he goes into wd's of being anxious and angry.

This may be a good thing and I can make a new start with my life headed for a place that's happy for a change.

Take care,

If your still having pain do you still need the oxy? You sound like you became adddicted for a legit reason. There are lots of people who are taking narcotics everyday for pain. Addiction is just a side effect. If your taking them for pain thats one thing, but if your taking them because your sad because of your husband leaving you thats something else. I would make an appoint with your doctor and lay all your cards on the table and dont leave until you get some answers. He knows that you should be weaned off this stuff and quitting cold turkey will cause you problems. Dont snort them anymore. The doc should will you.

Don't be sad if no one posts right away. I am weaning off lortab, it's hard..I'm an addict! I really have no advice, just know that you have support and prayers and love from this site. Sometimes it's just good getting your thoughts out, and there is no judgement here. So you can be honest!
much support!

I had bone cancer and was given oxycodone and I'm still in pain but cancer free, I was taking up to 75 mg a day for the last 3 years. When I stopped taken them in the early stages I had no idea I was going thru wd's and I just thought I was sick. The dr's have told me not to worry about the wd's and we would cross that bridge when we got to it. The bridge has been crossed and they have not helped. This is the only place I have found any kind of real honest people to give me advice. I also started snorting them because someone told me they would get into my system faster and how stupid I was to do that. One dr. knows but doesn't seem real concerned about that. I don't think the dr's thought I was going to survive the cancer and wanted to make sure I was not in pain and I had easy access because of that.

Now I'm more depressed that no one has responded to my post. I must sound like I'm feeling sorry for myself when in fact I'm just upset with the bad decisions I have made over the years.
