Hi Mrsspence. As was said above, we can not give you specific taper advice. But I can tell you that slow and steady is key. Also, if you can have someone hold them for you and give them as per your taper schedule, it will help you be successful. Also, if you can get your doctor involved. Stay very well hydrated. Take some good vitamins. And get some at least mild exercise. All of this will help. Keep posting here with any questions you may have. You will find lots of great support. You can do this!
Best wishes!
we cannot give taper advice because we are not doctors and each person is so different.
i stopped percocets. i was taking 3 at a time, twice a day.
i started just substituting a motrin for one of the percs. did that for awhile and then substituted 2 motrins, etc. that worked FOR ME, but doesn't mean it is going to work for someone else.
i had just detoxed off fentanyl so the pain from the perc withdrawal was NOTHING in comparison to that.
i could not get taper help from my dr because they did NOT want me off of it. they didn't want me off the fentanyl either, but it was my choice, not theirs.
Im going through the same thing. Ive found if you take 2 tylenol which has acetephetaphime in it just like hydros do it helps. The first day isnt so bad the the 2nd 3rd are the worst. Just take 2 tylenol every 4-6hrs but dont overdue it. Take hot showers that helps too. And i take paxil for my anxiety thru it it helps too. Have family and ppl around u also. Hard to wd alone. Good luck please try to stay clean if u are addicted. It can take everything from you. Ive been addicted to hydro for 13yrs and i feel so alone. But we can make it. Have to keep hope.
