does it really get better?

im on day 6 now, most of the aches have ceased but i still feel so icky!! always cold, zero energy, when will this change or get better? will i forever feel this way? i seriously thought about poppin just half a vicodin tonight but then i came on here and it stopped me. i suppose i just wanna know if this ickyness is from the wd's still or is this my normal feeling now, do i have to learn to live with it? ive barely eaten since ive started this, food just seems so nasty and i feel like i cant keep it down, maybe im weak from this also?!

The physical wds last about 1-2 weeks then the hard part comes in...mental issues.  Read the PAWS info contained on this site and keep posting questions.  if you can, exercise will really benefit you if you can workout.

Good Luck

I'm on day 7, and I am feeling much better, though not 100% "normal" yet.  It all depends on your drug, dose, and your body, but the worst should be over now.  I hear the lack of energy get better each day, but still takes awhile to get your real energy back.  I have been taking supplements with a lot of b vitamins, getting sunshine and fresh air, and exercising EVERY day.  Even though it is hard to do it, I always feel soooo much better after exercise.  With this, I feel like I have as much energy as a did on the pills if not more.  I'm only on day 7, and can't wait to see how it feels to be 2 weeks clean, 1 month, etc.  Stay the course, and you will find that it leads you to a great place :)

I am going through exactly what you are right now..i have broken down because i just start feeling like ive been in wds for longer than i can remember and yet i know i still have further to go than i can see ahead...its such a terrible thing and my use of oxys got pretty high in the end and yet i wasnt even getting that messed up anymore it was just filling a hole, and making me into a fuctioning person..Right now without the pills i am a functionless member of society and i dont know what to do..I know i need to tough it out and get through it but its so easy to slip up once in a while when you feel like garbage all the time..I am so happy that your gonna be on day 7, thats really great for you and things will most definitely be getting better for you soon..

congats on 6 days, yes it will get better, it took me a long time to get my appetite back after stopping my pill addiction. keep it up. it takes time to heal... i agree with worried, after care is critical. good luck.

what was ur original dose per day?  also..do u have a cvicoden to take in ur possession?..if u do it needs to go...it is a very good way to fail/keeping pills is

I ask ur dose cos at day 6 most pill poppers r thru the worst..perhaps it is the mental part bothering u bnow//and not physical..if the runs are gone then most likely u have progressed from that phase..often anxiety causes the nausea and lack of apetite

r u doing any type of aftercare?  or r u trying to fly solo?

AA has a saying...90 meetings in 90 days...there is a theory behind this cos that is the estimated time the brain needs to heal...most do not make it to 90 days due to lethargy and depression..if u make it to 90 days ur chance of survival triples...making it to 90 days is alot of work both inner and reaching out for support/aftercare...posting here is good as well..altho most post a few times and r gone
90 days is just a mark..dose, length of time u used, doc all come into play...but a positive attitude is often a factor that is hard to remeber due to the fog the brain goes thru after detox

keep us posted
