I still have some strange moods but hey its gonna be worth it. I registered on this site naabt.org and found my dr that way. Very confidential let me know if you have any more questions. Hang in there. We are all here to help. Everyone has been sooooo great to me in here, so keep asking and posting until you get all the answers and help that's what I did and I feel like I am becoming a sucess story!!
I too have had great success with suboxone. No cravings & I have energy & get through my days no problem. I'm also going to AA meetings, counseling, & reading & writing posts on this forum. For now I have no plans to go off of the suboxone, I'm on a maintenance plan, I work very closely with oxycodone & other opiates, literally at my finger-tips & cannot handle the temptation for now. Go for it, it has been a God-send in my life. I have hope & my life back. Good luck.

I'm on Suboxone too, same as Mary (sister). And I would give it a thumbs up too. I have had absolutly no cravings so far. It does fell like it gives me a very slight high, which I wish it didn't. I would prefer to feel nothing like that.. I want normal. But that will probably level off as I get used to the medication.
Good luck!
When i used Suboxone i did not do any follow up care or use forums like this and i fell right back in to the ill trap.
This time i went c/t and i am happy to say that i am 34 days clean and alot of that is because of this forum.
You got a lot of good advise here. Got to the Suboxone website and do your research. You can also find doctors there in your area who are certified to prescribe. Good luck hun.
yes it works.. very well.
but should not replace looking at reasons why you used, ie - you should get into counceling, N/A neetings.. something. so when you stop the Sub, you don't go back to using.
there is a debate on the board whether short or long term use is best. some feel short term is the way to go, some feel long term maintenance on Sub is necessary for them.
only you can decide what is best for you.
good luck...
I was on suboxone. It will take away w/d. You will not miss any work. You will probly get a promotion.
It is a wonder drug if you ask me.
Only thing DO NOT TAKE IT TO LONG (PAST 20 DAY'S) OR YOU WILL HAVE REAL BAD LONG LASTING W/D'S.
Don't let that discourage you. It really works if done correct.
Thank you for your advise, I will do some more research, but i am pretty sure it is the way to go for me. I cannot afford to be out of comission for a week or two, but then again I can't afford to take these meds anymore either!
I can only tell you of my experience so far. I am on it 5 days today. I don't think my first few days was typical though. Since day 1 my cravings have been gone. I have had some trouble getting my dose's regulated. Long story ,but my doctor got sick the day I started. Today has been a great day. I feel that I am headed in the right direction. You should read up on it and know all you can before seeing the doctor for it. Even with the trouble I've had , I give it a thumbs up.
really, are you speaking from experience? I have only read one testimony about it but the person swears that it is a miracle worker. How come no one in this forum seems to mention it at all?
