Overdose is always a possibility. None of us are exempt from that. I have a bad kidney and it is progressively getting worse. All the abuse my internal organs took are now showing up. It may not seem like there is anything going on right at this time but years down the road things may show up. I have been clean almost 5 yrs. I am glad you are asking questions. That means you are thinking about all of this.
Not 3 or 2. They say it is 3,000 or 2,000 but the many addicts go way above those limits because their body has slowly created a tolerance. Just like an alcoholic can handle a lot more alcohol than someone who doesn't drink!
Just FYI 3 mgs acetaminophen is max, 2 mgs if you drink..
my dr writes for 9 a day and has written a script for 75 fentanyl as well to add if the pills are not enough to control the pain. i am doing EVERYTHING i can to keep from filling the fent script. i dont want another drug to add to the problem but as i am running low on pills, i fear i will get the patches to help me bridge the days until my hydro can be refilled. REALLY trying here...talking to you all is very helpful and i feel SO foolish that i just dont stop! i am truly amazed at how addiction controls the reasoning part of your brain!! of course meaning that it completely messes with it! yikes!!

There were days that I took 30 of the nor is. Im not proud I am ashamed. Even at 12 if you had no tolerance then yes, medically speaking, you could die! I was only taking 15 a day when I started puking and had a pain under my right ribs! Got to wash my face and by eyes were yellow. I had shut my liver down and i knew it. So i called my wacko doctor and told him that i needed the hydros with the ibuprofen. Of coarse, he was so sympathetic to poor little me (lol) he called in a script for 120 of the 10/200 ibuprofen. I picked up the script and then i went to the hospital. I was kept for 7 days. They never knew why my liver shut down or why it started working again. I knew but i wasn't telling. So yes, your amount could be lethal. Sorry, again, for the novel!
thanks all! very nice to know the support is here!

Hi Paige.....i was on about the same amount of Norco 10's as you are....i was taking anywhere from 12-14 a day for years....i actually did a CT but that's not for everyone....it's a personal decision when you are ready to quit, we for sure can help you with WDs. etc. And i too wish i had never taken that first pain pill years ago. BUT i am going toward 5 months clean now so just wanted you to know you can do it if you want it bad enough. It's doable at home if that's the route you want to take, and if you have no health issues. And ask any questions you need to! That's what this forum is here for!
Just keep posting for support and we can get you thru it when you decide you want to quit.

i dont know what the heck i am doing here to be honest. i know i have a problem. i know i dont want to have a problem anymore. i know i am afraid to do what it is going to take to solve my problem and i know that all of that just makes my problem even more of a problem!
so....with all that being said, thanks for your reply. i did know that the acetaminophen intake becomes a concern at some point, but lets be honest...most nights im really not all that concerned about some liver damage....i just dont want to be in pain. i am so sorry i ever took that very first pill!
thanks for your help!

Hi Paige
Since you have been abusing these meds you have quite a high tolerance so I doubt you will overdose but.......You are taking right at the limit of acetaminophen per day and almost double the limit on the days that you take 20 pills. Long story short, you are damaging your liver and are definitely putting your health at risk. This forum is a great place to come for help, tips and support if you are ready to quit.I hope that you are. I hope this answers your question.
you know i feel stupid for asking my question, but im going back to grade school where they promised that there is no such thing as a stupid question! thanks for any input you all might have.
