HI I agree with Sara and avisg aftercare is the only solution to long term sobriety...let this forum and the 10+ yrs its been around be the litmus test....anyone on here with any significant amount of clean time uses some form of aftercare...there are few exceptions
I have learned in life you can be happy you learn from others mistakes or you can be humbled by learning from your own....theres the school of hard knocks out there
or you can follow someone that has already found a successful way of doing it
this time in my life I choose to follow the successful and so fare it has paid back 6 fold
get pluged in somewhere and make this your last detox....good luck and God bless
......Gnarly
Hey just hang in there...keep posting and believe in yourself...you can do this..I have been clean from this horrible drug for 481 days...and life is so good...good luck
Dont worry about the rest of your life, just get thru today as that is all we have. Find a support group with other recovering people. I used for 30 plus years and have been clean for over 2 yrs so it can be done. We cant do this alone. You can stay clean so focus on your recovery. Make it the most sacred thing in your life~~~~sara
For long term sobriety you really need aftercare .whether it aa/na a theripist and addiction doctor church pastor something to help you that is available to you right there when you need support .The first time I got clean I did not get any support I made it for six months then I relapsed now I am over 1000 days it can be done but you need help ..Hang in there.
