please help me locate a na and aa in my area so i can start going as soon as possible i am  already in out patient rehablitaion

I went do disney last spring, so much walking!
got really bad lower back pain while i was there, i coulden't imagine what was wrong.
I  thought it was just stress. I only was taking 2 ultrams a day that week. Any way i realised after i came home that i had bought a new pair of cheap white sneaker's, that's what it was bad shoe's, what a dumb mistake. So i think a real good pair of walking shoe's are really important. Since walking is such a big part of the trip.

What about the out-patient place that you attend.  Don't they have any literature or meeting lists?  I would be suprised if they didn't because most out-patient places require that you attend meetings.

Hi.  Don't be afraid of the people at these meetings. THey are some of the most awesomest, is that a word?,  people you can find. they will even come to your home and help you. They did for me, at a housing project with drugs galor. thank god for them!

to find a NA metting go to www.na.org
then go to the meeting locater and type in your area code.
It will list the meeting's in your area..
I got clean in 1984 in na, stayed clean till 1998 . I am clean now agian thank's to this forum. I known that meetings are the answer for me. Because there i have found that i can help myself by helping other's.
That is the key, caring about and helping other's!!!!
I remember when i got clean back then <i used to pray for for everything for me, it was all about me and mine and the great I.
Well nothing seemed to change, untill I started to pray for other people. then my whole life changed for the better, it was unbeleivable.
NA OR AA from my experence work's best when we GO THE EXTRA MILE.

go to a search engine like google, and type in narcotics anonymous....you will find their site.  then just look around, it will indicate which meetings are in your state.

I've been "Away" for a couple days.. No, not using, but just relaxing at a cabin on the shores of lake Superior. No cell phone, no radio, no T.V. NO COMPUTER. I feel like I was really in touch with the Universe, GOD, the everlasting... I really needed it. If anyone really wants to Escape reality, the best way is to join WITH it. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense, but it does when you do it. Just wanted to see what's up with everyone...

i'm going to miss you all...sniffle:( we are leaving tomorrow morning for florida and will be gone until next sat.

i really count on coming here - it is my version of na, but a lot more pleasant.  you have all helped me more than you can imagine.  even the posts that are not directed at me are of great help, and i have gained a lot of knowledge here.

thanks all for always being here to give advice, tell your stories, listen and most importantly never come off in a judgemental way.  some of your posts have brought tears to my eyes and some have made me laugh out loud. i am most thankful i stumbled across this site.

gwh - stay the course my friend...you can do this, and i really think you pull thru it this time...i'll remember to kick mickey in the you know what for you if you promise to come here every time you feel the urge to use...ok?  take care everyone...peace!

nothing else, winter here is a noticeable amount warmer.
