Welcome!
I agree with Catuf that a taper would probably be the best way to go considering your situation. If you would like guidance with that, please ask.
Welcome.
I suggest you get the following books: 1) End Your Addiction Now, by Charles Gant; 2) Seven Weeks to Sobriety, by Joan Larson; and 3) The Mood Cure, by Julia Ross.
If you combine the advice from those books with a gradual taper, you should be able to get off without horrible trouble. Many folks on here have recent experience with taper plans that they'll be glad to share.
It doesn't sound to me like you've been using in a addicted manner, but more like you're simply dependant. If that's the case, it's very good news for you. If you're not sure of the difference between addiction and dependence, just do a search with both those terms on Google.

Welcome to the forum. There is a few ways you can do this. Taper off slowly or cold turkey. You must be very strong willed to taper. Cold turkey will have you sick for 3-7 days. Do you have anyone to help you with tapering or with childcare ? Keep reading and posting. This forum is great and will help you so much.
i don't know about lortab, but i am new to the forum and found the Thomas Recipe to detox at home from my vicodin addiction. i am on my 6th day and have cut down from 10-12 a day to 6 as of today. it's tough but quiting it's not optional for me anymore.
hope i can help as others have helped me.
