Hello Moore..
I am at 48 days and am having some decent days.. Just ride it out.. the days will go bye either way..
Today, I was pretty good.. I could be better, no question.. but its only been 48 days..
Day 20 here off Norco's- energy and sleep are the hardest things now. Have NO desire to take pain meds, but after lying around most of the last two months tapering then quitting just feel worthless...
BUT I feel like I am improving the last few days after hitting the health pages and raiding GNC- got the Mens Mega, liquid B complex (16666% USRDA!!), C, then hit the Amino Protocol section here and went back for 5-HTP which is a natural serotonin stimulator and two days of that really seem to be helping! Getting the serotonin levels up will also help melatonin levels, I actually slept a few hours last night without Ambien and am trying higher doses of Melatonin supplements to find a level that will help my brain learn how to sleep again...
My neurologist yesterday said I have GOT to exercise, even as simple as stretching at first and build up, to increase energy level. Sitting around and lying around you lose muscle mass, and get more lethargic- I am using the exercise bike and adding a little more distance each day.
Hang in there!!
hello. Well, unfortunately some don't get energy back quickly at all. I didn't until about 2 months or more. It takes the brain a long time to heal from these pills, but trust me, you will get it back. Vicki is so right, you may have to push yourself to do things, and then you will find that you do have it. It just takes awhile to get it all back.
I take every vitamin in the book, A, all the B's, especially b6 and 12, C - several a day, D, E, potassium, magnesium, a woman so 3 calcium a day with a glass of milk, I take motrin 600 and 800 for pain when needed, and stresstabs for energy. They all help me alot. Maybe not for everyone, but I am also trying to eat the right foods. More fruit and vegetables with my steak :) Certain foods can give you more energy too.
It will come back, just hang in there okay. Good Luck
It takes time...but you need to "help" it along. Really push yourself to be more physically active. It builds from there...Are you taking vitamins? They really help!
Good luck~
Vicki
