If you can imagine....things will get worse if you graduate to methadone or suboxone. I congratulate you giving it a shot at the pills. I did not stop there and I wish I would have just detoxed from the pills, ultimately you wind up having to deal with not dealing with them anymore. I wish you success and strength in your recovery. It can be done.
Yeah you flushed!!!! Congrats on day 2....
Don't listen to your brain! It will try and trick you over and over into taking a pill and You Are Stronger Than That!!!
Just please be careful with the valium...I also took Valerian Root as Laurel did and it seemed to help.
Hang in there and keep letting us know how you are doing :)
Congratulations on your taking the plunge. I'm struggling to get "Off Tramadol," and I regret the day I ever put one of those in my mouth.
My Dr. suggested Valium for the Withdraws, but that didn't help at all. I was going to ask him for some Klonopin to try. The Anxiety for me is the worst.
It's different for everyone I know, because I've tried the Aminos and they don't seem to be helpful to me, but I still take them, along with the Calcium/Mag, Multi, etc.
You sound like a strong person, and I believe we all can make it if we just hang in there. This is a good place for support.
Hi Chris...
congrats on your decision and welcome to the forum :)
are you taking any magnessium+calcium supplements ? they will help you a lot with those muscles aches and pain...along with potasium so try eating bananas, apple/orange juice, spinach, raisins, nutcrackers... there is also this natural remedy for RLS, Hylands restful legs....don't forget about the hot baths...and drink a lot to keep you hydrated...
try some protein shakes if you can not eat much... you need proteins and those aminos and vitamins on them.
i took valerian root ( a sort of natural valium) instead of the st john's wort and i didn't have any problems with it.
i have seen you are reading as many posts as you can, this is very good idea indeed so you can know what others are doing and going through...well done.
keep posting your questions and telling us how are you doing , ok ? :)
Thanks for the advise, and i did flush thew tramadol , felt great this am for not going to bed until 2 am, wasn't at work 30 minust when the dry heaves started, i told them i had a virus, why i left at noon on day one , stomach cramps and jitters were to much , the St. Johns Wort is not the product to take while doing this .i did take a Klonopin [part of the thomas recipe]when i got home, felt like i was going insane and it did help.. rested for a few hours, then excersized for 3 hours. did not feel bad last night, i am dreading day 3 and 4 . i am doing the thomas recipe but do not have nothing on the amino acid protocal?and no i have not been eating, will try today. i think i will just go home for lunch like yesterday and sit it out or should i save it for day 3 and 4?and no the klonopin is not for me this is the original script from last year, hate the things they are deadly, knock me out for day's, The doctor told me they were just like a valium so beibng a 1 mg i assumed loke a valium since i am a big guy 4 would be sufficiant for the sleep i needed , let me tell you , i went to sleep on a friday afternon and woke up on the monday morning at 6am just in time for work, how deadly is that, never took them again until just yesterday, well i am just rambling trying to kleep my mind off of the sublime messag my brain sends , Chris take you pill, what a mess i am.
Hello, congrats on making the decision to get your life back! Working on day 1 shouldn't be too bad, but everybody is different and your hardest days will probably be the next 3 or 4. Whether you should work or not is up to you, as well as it's your choice to take those Tramadol, but I wouldn't! Just flush them and be done with it, they will only slow you down. Did you check out the Thomas Recipe and Amino Acid Protocol? There are some natural supplements that can help out to get you through the next couple of days. Take lots of baths with epsom salts at night after work, try and exercise (yes it will help!), magnesium, Hylands Restful Legs, make sure you eat and keep hydrated, and stick with us for support! You can do this!!!
