HEY! You are doing GREAT and what you are going through is ABSOLUTLY normal! EYES ON THE PRIZE ( a clean life) my friend! Keep your mind busy on other things and remember NO TURNING BACK! You have gotten through the physical part and now it's time to start working on the mental.... You can totally do this and you are kicking butt! It just takes time to heal after all the abuse we have put our bodies through! One hour, one day, one choice at a time! Keep on keeping on!

Definitely cancel that scrip. I had one sitting there when I was on my 10th day of detox. It was very empowering to tell the pharmacist that you want the refill out of the system. I didn't have to say why, I just said I didn't want them anymore. Addiction is very powerful, and it will always be trying to weasel it's way back in. That is why everyone is saying to cut ties with doctors, ect.

Wow, I sure know how it goes down hill fast. I started by taking only 1 a day. I went from zero to nothing in a matter of months. At the end, i was taking 10 a day. I am on my 21st day, you are through the worst of the withdrawals. Keep your head up and stay strong. We are going to be happy, joyous and free!!! I agree with butterfly, cut ties with anything and anyone that is connected to the pills :)

No haven't talked the doc yet she's one of those what do you want how much and be on your way out. My addiction was/is bad that I was using 2 pharmacies have refills coming up thought did cross my mind to call pharmacy to cancel refill but you know how that goes, no dealers I was working the doc. No pills in the house hubby took with him  he had out of town work.

Hi.... I'm on day 4 with no Norco's 10/325. Keep reading... All the help I've gotten are from these great people here at MedHelp... I'm doing what they tell me to do... I actually went to physical therapy today...yesterday and Saturday I MADE myself get out and take a walk... I was all hunched over, pale as a ghost, looked and felt like death walking.. But I did it and it helped.. A lot. Find distractions... That's what will get you thru... And this forum.

I have to echo glam's post...You are doing great, but if you haven't cut all of your sources you will relapse. This is a very dangerous stage of detox; your mind will start talking to you - things like "just one won't hurt". And if you have pills available, or easy to get, you will cave. You also need to set up a support system and start thinking about after care - NA meetings and the like. If you leave any of those steps out you will have problems staying clean in the future.
All the best.

Hi Lizbuzz, wanted to welcome you. Very glad you found us. May I ask, did you cut your sources? Call prescribing Dr. cancel skips, delete dealer numbers? This is a very important part of recovery because the mental part can take such a hold on you when those cravings hit and if you have any kind of access to them you will get them. Even the strongest person can cave to the strengths of addiction.

Congrats on day 4!! That is fantastic and it will start to ease up very soon for you! Just stay hydrated and look up the vitamins in the Thomas Recipe and ensure you take them daily (they really help the brain and body to heal). You're doing great and just put one foot in front of the other for the next couple of weeks and it DOES get better! Life will become good again and you'll find a new happiness and joy in everyday things. Keep posting and letting us know how you're doing!

You're in the right spot. It can be so frustrating at times and easy to loose sight if the goal. It is sooooooo tempting to pick up the pill and feel better!! I admire your courage cause that's what it takes to push through. Stress seems to quadruple during this process and EVERYTHING is amplified. The good news is you've made it through a lot of the physical and you're doing the right thing by venting to help with the mental. Doing this at home isn't easy for me cause I do better when there is a schedule to stick to and things to occupy my mind. I would find meetings to go to stick with the people there that have been through this. You're on the right road so don't give up!!!
