halfway thru day 5

I'm up to 5 days without the morphine, just started to feel somewhat normal. I'm sure that I still have a ways to go yet. I was able to (sort of) enjoy coffee and oatmeal today, I'm still getting over a sinus and chest cold so nothing has tasted good for almost a week now. This is the longest I've gone w/o my doc in over 7-8 years. I'm still having a bad time with all those feelings that always rush to the surface when you're able to detox, that seems to be one of the worst sx.  I think I'll try to get out of the house today, haven't stepped outside since sunday, 6 days. I'll try to post how it went if I do make it out.
