Hi there-I have RA/Fibromyalgia- have been on a new contract for 1 month now. Not new to Opiote withdrawals but in reading I am flippin out. This new Dr. has put me on for the first 2 weeks 15mg/day for pain relief of Methadone then adding 5 more mg  adding up to 20mg/day for 30 days now. I was resistant n told him ect ect. he argued w me-I yelled at him with him still not telling me SHEIT! So being in pain wanting temp relief I went along it cuz I had no other options... Well, I'm now P*Off becuz he doesnt' care and had the nerve to put me on this Grandious RX. I need to see him next Fri n wish me luck~ this Jackass is gonna give me a hardtime when I tell him i wanna turn around n go back b4 it's too late. What I'm wondering is with all of your help people am I gonna have a hard time physically coming off this sheit being on 15-20mg/day for one month?? Grr... I hate doctors! I have been on contracts for Percocets 10mg/day for 2yrs ect n had no problems mentally, maybe a little physically but nothing I can't handle but I'm thinking if I was all that brave to not care about the severe withdrawals n no control coming off this sheit that I wouldda opted for Heroin and added the High BUT  knowing my sister was an addict on Heroin and overdosed from being on Methadone trying to get better and died having a lifetime of hell trying to keep her disease under control. I know I should've been smart enuff to not start this but at least I'm smart enough to find out the real story n wanna go back ASAP...

Hi there n thankyou for responding, I wish I had only a 10mg perk to come off of. That was this past yr n had no problems coming off them but couldnt afford my dr bill so therefore ended up where I am now realizing I do not want this sheitta. I slept late 2day so I can on my own take less until I come off w what i have left. I have only taken one this afternoon since last night n I already feel the cold wetness on my back ect plus pain in my back/hips so I guess I will have to take one more later tonite for that being 2/day seeing where that goes form here. Thankyou again n i appreciate you all.

HI....I was on methadone for pain management also went from 30mg all the way to 150mg
over 6 1/2yrs.....if you can get off it now as soon as you can...it was shear hell for me coming off it and I would run the other way if someone was to odder it to me again
as for 1 mo on it if you go c/t expect to be sick for a week then ill for the rest of the month
we just had a member do a 21 day detox and that was her experience...now if your going to stay on narcotics a 10mg perc will keep the withdrawals off you but then you got that vise to face off with again with any narcotic you will always need more the longer your on it
many of our members myself included find our pain a lot more manageable once where off the narcotics .....now that its all cleared out of my body plan old 800mg ibuprofine works
to take the edge off and im in less pain now then when I was on 150mg of methadone go figure....I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide but narcotic free is so so worth it.....God bless.....Gnarly

Thankyou Dede-Yea he's something else I'd say-he seems suspicious to me, won't give me answers or options n seems to want it his way or no way. I am not a controllable person and that is my only plus being so headstrong but I live in MASS n there is absolutely no doctors here any longer that will help will just small amounts of anything. To put me on this being such a powerful drug n not telling me what it is all about is what gets me. I have researched ect in the last mnth going back n forth w confusion until I came here n had a wake up call-thanks all for your stories.

Find another Doctor!!! obviously he is not listening to you. if you want off he should listen and help you find other options. doesnt sound like he is willing to help you.
