One down, eight to go!

I made it through my first week of a taper program and it went well.  It’s a 8 week slow taper starting with 7 pills (7.5mg Vic) a day, next week 6 and so on.  I feel great with only minor w/d, my biggest problem is I’m tired all the time.  I’ve been working out a little and walking more but when I sit down, zzzzzzzz.  What can be done for energy?

Also, after 3 days I went to 6 pills a day and today I'm starting 5 a day today, is there a down side to this?

I did a VERY fast taper (from 5-6 Oxy and 10+ Vic/day less than a month ago) and am now 5 days clean.  I, just today, started feeling better.  I really don't think you start to feel normal again until you are off of them completely.  I could be wrong, but I know when I had w/ds before I was still on them just not very much I still felt like crud.  But being off of them now I feel pretty good.

I drink lots of iced decaf green tea, fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, Immodium, and I got Catapres and Klonopin from a psychiatrist.  Very low, very limited doses.  They helped a LOT!

Best of luck to you!

You doing the right thing by trying to get exercise in. That, eating healthy and taking viatmins and amino acids are really the best way to get your energy back.

I tapered and I'm so glad I did. I really believe its easier on your body. Especially if you do what I suggested while tapering.
