help with methadone addicted family member

My daughter is an opiate addict.  Her presenting problem was initially use of 800 mg of morphine daily.  She became pregnant about the time she wanted to quit using and the clinic in our town convinced her that if she tried to quit the stress would cause her to abort.  She started using methadone to come off the morphine and over the course of 2 years was at 6 mgs.  At that time she had a car accident that caused mainly whiplash and soft tissue injury.  She started using and didn't tell anyone.  I kept asking her what was wrong -- I noticed that her face had broken out again and she seemed to be having the nods etc. Anyway I just found her unit and stash.  She wants me to help her detox and she will just drink her juice to help with the worst of it.  I'm afraid that I might be helping her to hurt herself. She can get into a treatment program but she doesn't want to leave her child or me to go somewhere and be by herself.  Help

Ibogiane isnt the miracle root it claims to be. Yes, it does help some but if you think you can just order it or do it yourself...your dead wrong!! For anyone to tell you different they should be jailed! I am speaking from first hand experience .My brother and I both ,after being on methadone for 8 yrs researched ibogaine thouroughly for a year. we really did our homework and eventually contacted a clinic in mexico that treats people under medical supervision.Well when we were told the cost of the treatment we were let down by the unaffordable cost . But then we were offered ,by this "clinic" to be treated at home by one of his partners for a discounted cost. so, when the guys showed up at our home for $2500.00 each we were ready to end the methadone hell! Long story short we almost died!!!! It was absolutely horrible and the treatment provider was dumbfounded as to why we reacted so badly to this "miracle" root. They didnt know WTF was going on and called all their buddies to try and figure out what was wrong. They never did but they did refund all $5000.00 and got the f--k out of dodge!! after further investigating we did find out that these guys have had deaths related to their at home treatments and were under investigation by the DEA. If you do decide to use IBOGAINE go to a professional like Dr. Mash from University of miami. it is expensive and there is NO gaurantee. We concluded that the Ibogaine given to us was bad.Weather improperly stored or ?? the clinic should never have offered in home treatment due to financial reasons.I understand that many addicts cannot afford it but would you rather die!!!! so "I Begin Again" is the clinic to stay away from and  Eric Taub  is not pioneer in helping addicts . Remember $5000.00 is alot of money and they make that over and over and over again. Yes they help some but at what expense?? The ones that die???I actually ordered and got some Ibo online through a website but was hesitant to do it without assistance from a professional. My bro and  I am now on suboxone and doing very well. The light at the end of the tunnel is within reach and we plan to be free from all opiates . If anyone wants to contact us for more info Please do!!! ***@****    good luck to all that fight this horrible disease. God Bless. Dave

Hello. I am not trying to undercut any one here but fare is fare and every option should be availible for people

Methidon is one of the hardest chemicle addictions around. its just like heroin. Narcanon has special facilities for people who want to get of methidon.

Give this a read.
http://www.detox-narconon.org/methadone-side-effects.html

the detox is an inpatient program involving education, activities and natural treatments.

And be wary of all the black pr around about it. there are for some reason alot of people against people getting this kind of help. they will say anything posible to try and put doubt in your mind.

if you want to talk to some one about getting your child into the program call my dad he works with them as a life rep getting people educated on the way the program is stuctured and how it works.

he will also answer your questions about wy so many people are against this kind of treatment.

Ibogaine has a lot of followers. I am not sure of the legal status, but it could at one time be found in African herbal stores. It has a slight haluceonetic affect. I know a physician who has used it successfully to treat addiction with his patients, but it is not FDA approved.

For me the psychological part has always been the toughest thing to deal with, & Ibogaine is great for that. Ibogaine can stay active in the brain for up to six months eliminating the cravings and giving the patient a chance to live free from the constant pressure of the addiction. Again, I suggest you look up "The Ibogaine Association" they are compassionate, carring, & trully good people.

thank you for your reply.  Any and all responses are greatly appreciated.  I understand the physical part of the addiction I really have a hard time understanding how to help her cope with the emotional part which could ultimately be the hardest part to treat.

I have a great deal of experience w/ opiate addiction, abuse, withdrawl, staying clean, going back, -the whole vicious cycle- the most effective detox method by far is Ibogaine treatment. It only takes a couple of days, is safe and humaine, and gives the subject a window of time where even the cravings subside. Ibogaine is difficult to aquire, I recomend looking up the "Ibogaine Association" -I had a great experience w/ them. I feel that ibogaine is the ONLY truly effective detox for opiate dependance.
