helping a loved one with a pill prob

my boyfriend just admitted to having a pill prob. i had surgery about three months ago for a serious pelvic pain and endometriosis i have been taking hydrocodone since my surgery only as directed by my doctor which is about three days out of the month i take about two a day. i filled my pres. on a friday for 60 10mg hydrocodone and took one that day. monday i took them out of my purse and found only 14 left. my boyfriend then admitted to taking them and confessed this big pill prob. he had taken 45 of my hydrocodone and he had filled his also for his "back" that same friday and they were gone. along with his Somas. he says he is perfectly ok with me helping him i just dont know the right way of helping.

By the way...if you give him just one or two a day it will prolong the withdrawals...i made that mistake.

He will have BAD flu like symptoms...stock up on the immodium and TP. Chills, MAJOR anxiety, depressions...i cried ALOT! RLS and probably not much sleep. Just make sure he eats and stays hydrated. I stopped eating and got really dehydrated which made it even worse. He will say he feels like he is dying but he will not die from the w/d from hyrocodone. Hot baths helped me the most....as many a day as needed!!! It will help with chills, help him relalx and possibly catch a few zzzz's. He will be very irritable as well. Try and get him to take a litle walk. It will seem imposible but it helps alot too!

ok quick question. what should i expect the first couple of days with him quitting? he already told me he doesnt think he could do it C/T but i do have control of his pills they are in a safe at home. i dont know what to expect if his attitude will change bad dreams i have no clue.and i dont know how many to start him off with.. i know he takes about 8 a day.. he said before we met he had a really bad prob and then quit so i know he can do it. but he said his friends he was hanging with got him back into it.

my advice is how he choses to handle the situation is he quitting C/T or ween ( i dont suggest personally) if he wants to quit the time is now you have to be his support my G/F was mine a bonus shes a dr and knew how to help me detox at home
my last pill was friday 1pm i went through misery no doubt but with my ( her ) altered verson of the thomas recipe we made it till now its baby steps monday i had an injection in my back ( buldging disks ) got my monthly day one and today is 2 yrs i lost my father so my tests are strong but alot of it is mental and after the fog lifts you get stronger inside so sorry i went on just had to get things out but i hope it goes well for you and B/F and if you need any advice as to what i went through and what i did to help i am more than willing to talk to you further on this   god bless you both
