Thanks Steve for coming back here and doing it again.  Reading that you had 4 mos and relapsed is just what I needed to read this afternoon,
I'm at 99 days and still have no energy, can't GET to sleep, still having to let a lot of things go that my brain tells me I need to do!
Guess your post sticks out cause my next "goal post" is 4 months.
I was in AA and sober for 18 yrs and NEVER had the battle this opiate addiction has been/always will be!  I learned alot about recovery in AA, but socially drank again after 18 yrs and MUCH contemplation....it NEVER had a hold on me like pain pills.  I did conclude that I was abusing alcohol, not addicted to it........and it never reared it's ugly head as an addiction for me.
THESE OPIATES ARE cunning, baffling and powerful.  I never really felt that way even after many, many years of AA involvement and I was really., really, involved. (I have no regrets about that time in my life, tho. as I learned soooo much.....just never truly related to the desperateness like I do with opiates)
Other opiate addicts KNOW me and I TOTALLY RELATE to them.
I'm so glad you "got back up" and are doing it again.  I needed to hear from you today.  Thank you.

Blessings zona from Kansas!
