hit a roadblock :(

I have been tapering pretty well. I managed to get from 12 vics a day to 6. Problem is that I can't get passed the 6 without major w/d.
Even on the six I get anxiety and severe lethargy. How do I get passed this hump? I only have about 2 weeks worth of meds left.

For me as well, the anxiety has been the hardest! I went from two weeks ago averaging about 8 roxys per day for 6 months, and for the last two weeks have been taking 2 oxycodone per day, and then down to 2 vics per day. I have managed to go two days without the vicodin. My doctor had perscribed me adavan for the anxiety which did help alot but as a mom of two I couldnt take the sleepness it caused. Then he switched me to clonidine which is a blood pressure med. I strongly encourage you to talk to your dr about it! ITs non narcotic and does wonders for the w/ds. I have managed to go 2 whole days even though I have pills without taking them! Talk to your dr. there is help and it will get better just hang in there! I know its hard but its only temprary! How long have u been at 6? I found the anxiety to be the worse thing for me. But you are doing GREAT!!

Hi Watergirl --  I know they are rough but the price we pay to get clean is not an easy one--- The W/D's really su*c but they don't last forever ---- Prepare yourself for a bad case of the flu and be willing to bite the bullet and go through them.  Hope you have some help at home. If you are down to 6 you have come a long way-- Keep traveling the road -- you will make it.  You are going to be sooooo happy with the new you -- I guarantee it.  Please keep talking to us and reading --- try to remember why it is you want to be clean --- if you need help remembering - just ask -  almost all of us can remind you of those reasons again.  All the best.
