tinnitis is ringing of the ears....gatoade is a great choice...EmergenC from walmart is great as well..fluids and vitamins...exercise and stay healthy..keep posting
If you don't like the taste of Gatorade, but still want to get a healthy dose of electrolytes, try the sugar-free Gatorade. It's called "D2" It may taste better or different. If you can, have a D2 in the morning, then drink lots of water for the rest of the day. Hope this helps.
what is Tinnitus? I have Emergen-C and shall give it a shot. I did try Gatorade yesterday thinking the same thing about the electrolytes but something about the after taste, I have never been able to drink it.
I'm glad to read your headache is going away.. Now you know what works, great job on calling hubby and warning away peoples all the right steps for staying clean :))
Tinnitus was awful for me. It took months before it settled down. I mentioned Gatorade to get electrolytes in balance. Another good source would be Emergen-C
thanks you guys! This is a great website! I took the Ibuprofen, seems to be kicking in. I have been drinking a lot of water, cranberry juice and natural detox tea (I hate Gatorade) and a little food here and there. And thanks for the advice mimi1313 but I am a true blue addict, there is no "giving me a couple" I am an all or nothing and can con the best of them out of what I want. Not bragging by any means just telling the truth. I will however also throw in that I wish my ears would stop ringing! But I understand that will come in time also.
Yup, Ibuprofen should help. Drinking LOTS of water can help too. Dehydration and or toxins can cause headaches. Try a bit of Gatorade to see if it helps.
I had the headaches from the withdrawals as well and I took ibuprofen. I know after addiction you're afraid to take anything but there may come a time when you have to take something for the pain and you will have to be strong and either have someone hold them for you or only get a few. If you read we have members who have painful surgeries and sometimes they have to take an opiate. They take them as prescribed and for as little time as possible.
thanks! Not migraine just plain old withdrawals. The headache is better but not good and I really am scared. I did just talk to my husband and told him I was scared but I also called everyone I could think of that has them and told them to NOT let me talk them into selling or giving me any! I am afraid to take over the counter pain relievers so as dumb as it sounds, I am wondering if I should!
If it is a headache from a migraine I have no idea but someone will come on that does, if it a headache from wd then it should clear up very soon. I'm glad the worst of the physical was over for you in 2 days that's fantastic in my experience the physical last about 5 to 7 days the wort being day 3,4 so the headache should be going away soon.. Whatever the case you do not want to get vicss really you have fought it out this far you can do it.. It will be tough with it readily available where you work.. Steer clear of these individuals, remember why you quit, you don't want too revisit that place do you?? It is wonderful that you have such a supportive hubby, think of him and the wonderful future you will have together clean :))) I wish you well on your journey Remember this will pass stay focused and strong.. lesa
