you r at my dose..when i stopped the hydro i was taiing 80-100 mgs a day for 3-4 years...tapering was a nightmare for me...i was glad when my time off came around and i flushed those puppies and went for it...i did not have insomnia but many do ...ask ur doctor for sumpin to help u with that...or otc things like melatonin, valerian etc...sleep is important to recovery so be sure u have ur bases covered before u detox as it is sumpin that can make people fail...if u work it is almost impossible to work and have no sleep...exercise during the day helps u sleep at night and many of the aminos in the recipe can help as well..be safe and keep us posted
hey yeah whenever im feelin a lil down i come on here especially late at night when i cant sleep...i was takin about 80 mg of hydrocodone a day usually 8 of the tens but i took oxy's and percs if i coudlnt find vics and i did daily for a few years without a day off that i can remember ...i havnt tried that thomas thing exactly but i have taken the vitamin and lots of hot showers ...heatin pad...tonight im tryin to drink a few beers to see if that helps...i know usually when i drink it relaxes my body and makes me tired after i stop so maybe it'll help me sleep ....if u need to talk though ima be here all night wishin i was sleepin lol
Well hon,I'd like to tell you that there is an easy way,but I think you already know there just isn't.Some taper to try and minimize the w/d symptoms.Honestly though most addicts can't taper,if we have them we are going to take them,and like you said,we'll stop next week.If you feel you have the willpower to taper or there is someone that can hold them for you and dose you according to the taper schedule,there are people here that can help you out with that.

Hello :o) ive been taking them for about 7 years. I didint start taking them everyday until about a couple of years ago. I take about 8 a day and when i dont have any (which is rare) i take xanax for anxiety. Ive been told to lower the dose bit by bit but i havent tried that yet. i keep lagging and putting it off for the following week. I tried a couple of times to quit cold turkey but by the 2nd day i was feeling horrible...my left arm starts feeling very week, i dont know how to describe it but i get the urge to punch it ( really weird) i try and keep my mind off of it but i cant avoid thinking about just taking a couple more!
I just want an easy way to stop and not have those nasty withdrawl symptoms, oh yeah and most importantly, no cravings :o(
WD is no fun but it takes a bit to rid our bodies of the poison. Make a plan and get off them. It is so much better not being a prisoner to them anymore. You can get thru it. We are here for you sara
good luck to u..did u say ur insomnia and wd lasts only a day? or ur clean time lasts only a day? lots of meds out there that r otc to help sleep..valerian root, melatonin, benadryl, calme forte at walmart can help anxiety as well...the doctor con rx some safe meds like phenergan, muscle relaxers etc to help as well,,,also know this passes, the insomnia and stuff..exercising also helps...best of luck and keep posting

You can try taking one tablet of anti-histamine "Cetrizine" it will give you good sleep and also stop allergies/ side effects.
You can try any decongestants also
hey wuts good yeah ive had the same problems tryin to quit forever...ive quit once and gotten to day 5 adn then just relapsed and that was about a year ago ...theres a few things that help but mostly just keepin ur mind off of it someoen is the best way to detox...i watch movies take showers drink lots of fluids and light food take a multivitamin...during the day i use a heating pad on my back when im layin down and it helps the chills a lot...the sleep is the one thing i havnt figured out how to help...ive taken tylenol pm and it just makes my mind wanna sleep but wont let my body let me adn it almost is painful...usually i just lay here till i dose off and just try to tell myself itll be worth it in the end...its mad hard though especially when people call me telllin me they got this or that for cheap ...i actually removed all the numbers of people who sold me vic's and oxy's ....i wanna go out bar hoppin i gotta get off thsi **** thats all i keep thinkin ....if u wanna talk just get back to me ima be up a while im sure ..its 335 in the mornin last night i couldnt fall asleep till 6
