Does anyone out there have any advice for pregnant women coping with hydrocodone withdrawal?

I urge you to pay attention to your cravings, esp. viatamin C, and I mean grapefruit juice, the real deal, or grapefruit.  The vitamin C is what I swear helped me from Misscarring  my last child.  At 2 mos. the drs. said it was 50-50 chance that I would misscarry.  I knew that I was hungry for grapefruit juice over crushed ice.,even a tad of salt.  I drank the stuff till it wasn't even funny.  I continued to carry my baby full term, with a torn placenta during labor.  We just barely survived.  I had him without ANY pain meds what so ever, the dr. didn't want it to effect the baby sense I was in bad shape anyway. I had my children (2 of them) later in life, late 30's and they have been a blessing to me.  I am proud that you r thinking of the precious life inside you.  Take your viatamins and the extra C in liquid real thing or fruit.  So glad you are tapering, you & your baby will be clean and happy, instead of dope-sick.  I wish you God'd Speed to help you!!  :)

A lot of people have sent me messages on certain types of vitamins that can be takin for on opiate adict going through withdrawals.  I would look into that but make sure wether you are refering to yourself or someone else that the dr. is consulted first it is very importnant that they know the whole situation to try and help with the problem.  also there are certain vitamins that should not be taken while you are pregnant.  To whom ever is trying to get clean.  I applaud you.  There is nothing that breaks my heart more as a mother to a beautiful 3 yr old boy to hear of someone that cannot help themselves enough to try and quit.  Whom ever's baby it is will be born healthy and happy if they can quit as soon as possible.
