i cant seem to balance

i havent taken any tabs for five days now... but i was sent home from work today because my chest pain caused me to collapse in the middle of the sales floor. i got home took some nitro and still hurt. i just cant seem to find the medium between addiction and what i actually need im about to lose my job because this is the third time ive had to leave early because of my cheat pains. i dont want to be an addict but i dont want to live as a pain ridden failure either. i feel like im doomed to either the addiction or the pain. i just cant seem to find the right balance. if anyone can suggest anything that might help i would appreciate it.

Sounds to me like you are trying to address a panic / anxiety issue from the pills as a cardiac event. Happenned to me also - How many of what pills were you doing? And what is your cardiac history? You must have one if you've got nitro around - although the nitro also comes in transdermal patches -- -- -    Breathing exercises work well for the panic / anxiety stuff ....

First if you have heart issues, you need to check with your cardio doc before putting your self through this. Dropping to the floor from this is not good. I think first, you need to face the addiction, and with the pain there are other no Narc's to be give in.

i would say find a good pain managemnet dr. i have been on pain meds for 3 yrs now, i know i am pysically addicted but i take them as perscribed and i can live a half way normal life. without my meds i would be in real trouble i have 4 herniated disc and could hardly move without meds. it is tough postion to be in,, need meds or be in pain.. i made the decision to not be in pain
