I'm sorry you are going through this but you know it has to be done. In a way it is a blessing your parents found out. It usually takes something extreme to get us on the right path. Since your parents know about it does that mean they are willing  to help you with this? People that haven't been through withdrawals have no idea and think all you have to do is stick it out for a week. They don't realize how difficult it can really be. Maybe you can get them to come on here so they can learn more about it? You could work through this as a team. It would also help them by being informed on the behaviors of drugs so they can help you every step of the way.
Sorry I'm not much help with the H but don't know anything about it. All I can say is hang in there bud. There is light at the end of the tunnel. You kicked oc and although this may be more difficult, you can kick this too. Like IBKleen said, get all the help you can if you have to, go to the er. Do anything besides going back to it. You're gonna half to go through withdrawals eventually unless you plan on using forever. And I know you don't want to use forever. You are so young and have so much life ahead of you. The younger you are when you quit, the easier it is in the long run. Just hang in there and know we are here for you every step of the way. Best of luck to you my friend!

do your parents have any idea what heroin wd's are like.....they might be in for a shock too.

in the old days, they would just rough it out.they would have someone watch you like a hawk for the next week or so.

I wish you all the best, it appears as if your going to have to do it, because it sounds like  your parents are not giving you any other options

Welcome back bud, wish it was under different circumstances tho:( I know this does not answer your question about w/d, but I pray you talk to your family and get the help you need. Addiction is progressive and you have seen that since the last time you were here. Is it possible for you to get into a detox program? Rehab?  At 20 years old, you have your whole life ahead of you, but shooting dope is not a life and YOU deserve better!

I missed ya so stick around this time, a lot of helpful people here. Please be strong and stay safe.

My heart breaks when I see posts like this.

I am not surprised that you went from Oxy to Heroin, it is cheaper for one and gets you where you want to go faster. It will only get worse from here. Look at how you have progressed in your drug use in such a short time.

I have been through withdrawal from Heroin more times then I care to remember and it is not pleasant. Being that it is short-acting you will feel the effects quickly and it will most likely take 5 days to get through it. I don't see what choice you have at this point, you are in the process of losing everything at 20 years old.

If you can go to your parents for help...do it. See if they can't get you into a treatment center. You are going to need help with this. And although I am sure you don't want to hear it right now, you are going to need aftercare. You can't do this alone.

If there is any way that you can postpone the GED test, do it and worry about that later. Right now if you don't get help I can see you finding a way to get H by day 3. The withdrawal will be so bad by then you will find a way and the thought of that scares me.

Please, go to your parents and ask for help. If they cannot help you go to the ER. They may be able to get you into a detox program.

You are in my prayers and I hope you get the help you need.
