Sorry, I don't know what happened, I must have bumped a button on my keyboard, but to continue: then just 1/5 pill daily for one week, then if you are still experiencing withdrawal symptoms after that try taking 1/5 pill everyother day. That way you slowly decrease the drug in your system, so it is not such a shock to your system. Your body will slowly adjust to the lower levels, and then eventually will be fine without the drug. Also, try hot baths and exercise to help detox your system, to help with the taper. Good luck! I know how hard it is. I know when it is near time for my next dose because I feel really dizzy, my lips tingle, and I get the chills and get sweaty. I feel like I just want to die, but about an hour after I take my medicine I feel better, and my body is slowly adjusting to the taper so I can stretch the time in between doses longer.
Hi, I am also tapering down my drugs. The best information that I could find was to taper down in two week incriments. I am doing one week incriments, and I am tolerating that ok. I also work full time, and I go to school full time, so I understand the need to taper down safely, because it's not like you can just take time off and withdrawal. However, I am confused, what is "t3"? Are you having any problems with sleep, because if you are I would suggest to take one soma a day, at bedtime. But, if you are having issues with fatigue, and are over sleeping, and are having a lot of problems with exaggerated pain due to the lower narc doses, I would suggest taking the soma in the middle of the day, to help with the pain so that you can get through your day better. With the taper, what they say to do is to take your normal dose for the first incriment, then slowly decrease the dose. Example: if you take four vicodin a day, take four daily for one week, then three daily for one week, then two daily (one in am and one in pm) for one week, then 1/5 pill twice a day, then just
Don't worry someone will come on soon. Most people are sleeping. So just give them a bit of time and they will have some great tips for you
oh, how I wish for some answers and advice...
IM taking norco ! A handful of 4-6 at a time anywhere from 1-3 times a day! for about 6 months. I started with vikes, 2-3 at a time of the 7.5's. but as my tolerance built and I had to up my dose. I was afraid of liver damage so I switched to norco. Any advice on a taper would be awesome.
This is what I have to work with, and I refuse to buy more:
I have 40 5/500 vike, 20 t3, and 10 Soma. Ayone with advice on how to taper would be awesome.
Thanks for all the answers so far! But, yeah, I figured the amount that I am addicted to has got to be less than I take to "get high" I just have to figure out what that amount is!!
Please help! I have a job and 3 kids, and I really need to kick this!
Hi, I'm tapering from benzos for 10 months now. What are you using, how much since how long? Give us a little more info about yourself and helping is gonna be easier. hang in there, you're at the right place. sophie.
I'm not great with taper plans but this is my advice. You want to stop taking enough to get high. You want to do the least amount you can to keep the withdrawal symptoms minor. So if you've been taking say , 3 at a time, (and that gets you high) take only 1 to keep withdrawals away. Then reduce from there.
You could personal message Avis. She is the Queen of taper plans. Good luck and keep posting.
