how long does it take to get out of your system? And a word to the wise do not ever get on ultram! It is poison.
if you are having some legitimate anxiety problems first try to figure out what is triggering the anxiety..IF you can figure that out (not too many people can) the klonipin may not be necessary, also does your anxiety interfere with your daily life? if it does, to what extent? ask yourself these questions before resorting to the meds.
klonipin can work wonders for people...i can actually leave my house now...but i am in therapy and hopefully i will not need them for too long...and they are highly addictive...
All they do to me is make me sleepy.

I loved klonopin, like my pleasure center was just lit up, but my family hated me on them, said they made me stupid, and I found that all benzos made me depressed, tearful and suicidal as they wore off. Please be careful, the withdrawals were really hard.
I've been on it for a few months.helped with the anxiety associated with kicking vicodin and other stuff going on in my life... I'm taking 1mg 2x day as needed..I'm finding I'm not needing it as much as I used to.

I am on Klonopin and have been for 3 years, for RLS. I have tried to taper down and twice had to stop c/t, becuse i ran out my doc was out of town and could not get anymore unitl he returned. when my doc returned he immediately gave me 6 refills. I told him of my fears of being so addicted, he said i needed it and if it ain't broke don't fix it (quote). By the way this is the same doc that has me now hooked on tramadol. Look up tramhamilton's story. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG IT IS EVIL. TWICE NOW I FELT LIKE I WAS DYING. THE FIRST TIME C/T I DID NOT EAT OR SLEEP FOR 5 DAYS LOST 30 LBS IN THAT TIME, DOWN TO 99LBS. PLEASE PLEASE, FIND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE. I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU.
Maybe take it on a as needed basis only.. and no more than 2 times a week tops. It has a long half life,,,stays awhile in your system (70 plus hours).... I am currently tapering off daily Klonopin use... and its taken me an entire year. I am down to about .17 mg from 1 mg. It is ENORMOUSLY difficult to get off of once your body becomes dependent on it, which it will in a few weeks.... though Iv eheard some getting dependent after days of daily use.
Benzos are awful and shoudl be banned in my opinion. They numb your brain surely and slowly until once day you wake up and wonder how u got to be such a no-feeling zombie. Please please consider some alternatives for your anxiety... there are herbals remedies, dietary changes (major ones I mean), relaxation, deep breathing exercises, physical exercise, prayer..... let medication, esp a benzo like Klonopin, be a VERY LAST resort. I Mean, yes it works well for anxiety but it is poison in my opinion. Todays docs, mainly psych docs... many are criminals in my mind. THey over prescribe very dangerous drugs they know little about and people become addicted without meaning to, and the drugs cause all sorts of side effects.. some taking a long time to really show up or effect a person.... then they cant safely get off these nefarious "meds."
Peace be with you,
Bloatgirl
they work, but be careful.

It's a benzo just like Valium, Xanax and Ativan. It's extremely addictive. Use with caution.
