Always keep in close contact with your doc during a taper like this. If you begin to experience increased w/d symptoms, that's when you should be calling the doctor, to determine if the taper needs adjusted.
With a benzo taper, a slow and gradual taper is advised. You may need to slow yours down a little. There's no race in getting the taper done. Definitely talk to your doctor.
Best to you!
Hi Luis, I am about 5 years older then you. Came c/t off of three meds too. The sleep will come back. It just takes time to balance back. Back in Sept I stared to use the Clonidine (light bp med) just for a few weeks at night only. After this I was taking the Magnz,Ds, and Cal at night and also Melatonin. These all help relax the muscles too. Magnesium is a great detoxer and a brain builder as well. Time is the Greatest Healer of it All. Just take things as they come and it will pass. I sure wish you the best!
Bless
Luis, I suggest that you have a visit with your prescribing physician or your local pharmacy. They will help you get squared away on over the counter sleep aids available in your country, and how you should use them.
OpenMind24hours my friend, tell me how can i contact with alteril, which is the email, or where can I find it? Thank you friend.
one more question. you used valerian root on each cutting when you were going to bed, and you could not sleep? and so at this point, how many days did you take valerian root? and yet, at this same point how did you know, or were feeling when you should stop taking valerian?
Thank you friend.luis280.
thanks friends. Please OpenMind24hours can you tell me exactly how did you
use Valerian Root to help with sleep? in other words, when you begun and stoped, under what conditions...and so on. thanks OpenMind24hours my friend.luis.
I agree with the idea that you are making reductions too close together. Be slow about it.
Hello Luis,
I tapered off of Ambien and made sure I stabilized, and was sleeping on, each Reduction. Sometime this took me 3 weeks to stabilize just one reduction. You're simply going too fast. I used Valerian Root to help with sleep. It will take time for you to sleep normally, but you WILL. Sleep anxiety is also a problem. You can't sleep, you get so anxious about it that you can't sleep! The relaxing bath with Epsom as suggested above will always help.
You're under a doctors care. Also pose this question to her/him.
Andrade, it is hard to be without sleep. Did you take a bath with Epsom salt?
Do not remove more until you get sleep first.
Hope this helps. Where are you from?
Good for you for working to get off of those pills. If I have problems sleeping reading in bed will put me to sleep. Without any background noise. Try not to worry, keep calm and positive and see what your doctor may suggest.
