lorcet addiction 10 a day

hey new here....stumbled here cuz i'm looking for advice or just anything from people who are familiar with lorcet addiction.  my girl friend who i love dearly has been hooked on these for 5 years, she got up to 10 a day....maybe more.  I have just recently found out about how bad it is ( she is very sneaky) about a month ago.  she really wants to quit and has tried many times.  right now we got her taking half of her green ones about 4 to 5 times a day.  I try to monitor her closely to see if she is lying about how much she has, but you never know.
i guess any questions I have would be...
how long should I have her taper down to where she can stop taking them for good?
she drinks whiskey at night too and how bad is that with the lorcets?
she also will take xanax and somas every once in awhile to help her sleep through the night.

Hey Levi, Addicted32 is sooooooooo right, we addicts are the sneakiest people around, we always find a way to get the fix, especially during withdrawal! I am on day 5 CT from 150mg oxy's and feel like **** BUT I can no longer take this beast and I am determined to succeed as I made a lot of bad decisions in the past 10 years,,well good luck,,bugzy

thanks for being honest...thats why im on here so i can get some honesty :)
she is real good at hiding and her addiction is somewhat "controlled" she got stuck on taking them at exact times of the day. i have caught her lying many many times.. i have had two people say they have been with her sexually since we have been together. one of them was a guy she got pills from and at a cheap price, so i dont know how else i should take that. i have to believe her because she has stuck with me when she could just easily walk away. she has let her child get very close with me too.  i just say to myself " do i believe this woman i love or do i believe these other people who are very shady and hooked way worse than she is?"  obviously i love her very much if i am going this far with her....
she has been tapering now for 3 weeks...i want to try a detox method a guy on here listed....wish us luck!
well anyways its early i think im just blabbin...
thanks guys for your response

I'm 32 and I used to do the same thing she is.  I would drink with xanax and vicodin.  I honestly can't remember the last ten years of my life because I was in bars drinking and popping vicodin big time party girl it ended now.  Im still trying to tapper off of oxycontin and its so hard.  Give her a choice because eventually all addictions lead to death thats what they say in therapy.  It will be impossible for you to monitor her.  To be real with you my boyfriend would hold my pills for me and I would sneak them or go to another dr and get more or just simply look all over the house until I found them.  Addicts are good at manipulating to get there way or fix.  We can ******** the doctors to the max.  At least i did.  I always had two dr's and when I went to pharmacies I said I didn't have insurance and I paid cash so my insurance company never knew I was getting another refill.  So like I said it will be hard for you to monitor unless you have keys to her car, her purse we hide them all over the place.  Im just being honest with you

Hi!  I'm glad you are here!  DO NOT let her drink while taking anything controlled!  (pain pills, sleeping pills etc)  She could die.  I am not EVEN kidding.  She could go to sleep and not wake up!  Ok?  Understand?  NO DRINKING! : )  Watch her carefully if you are the one helping her taper.

Xanax and soma are also addicting.  Watch out cause sometimes we get cross addiction.  It has happened to me!

Please be very careful.  She is on a cocktail of drugs that is dangerous when mixed!

Best wishes to you.  She is fortunate to have someone to help her right now!!!
