making the final jump

Thank you all so much. I am coming off 4 years of 4-500 mgs. a day of morphine sulfate and in 50 days time am down to about 30mg once a day. Making the final jump is giving me trouble. Deep, deep despondency has come on a few times when i have tried to drop lower along with mild stomach upset and rls. I have been taking half days off to deal with these but should i just take 5 days off and bite the bullet and make the jump? I have changed drs. and do not want to go back to the guy who gave me all of that so i was thinking of asking for maybe a methadone scrip from my new guy but darn, aren't i close enough now to go all the way?

I would take the days and jump.  Please dont go the methadone route.  You will be trading one addiction for another and that is he!! to come off of.  Keep posting here as we are here to support you~

If you can take off the days, i would recommend it. However, you have to keepmoving and busy as soon as you can. I jumped ct from 100 mg and at day 55 ... be sure to cut off your sources!
