i have been a pot smoker for years and had troubles with anxiety as of the last 3 years of my life.  the panic attacks were actually triggered by adderal.  i have used cocaine, hash, opium, percoisettes(sp?), vicodin, adderal, concerta, weed of course, darvocet and alcohol recreationally many times each.  what triggered all of the above: alcohol.  when i was drunk, i tried most of the above listed drugs for the first time.  after which i thought i could do them while sober.  turns out they all suck(cause anxiety) when you're sober except weed.  weed calms me down, allows me to perform better at work(sales), and eliminates alot of stress i experience on a day to day basis.  i recently quit all of the above and got on xanax and celexa.  my life has changed but the occasional smoke of weed is still a welcome reminder of why i still will never condemn such a drug.  i have the willpower to stop and it's because i am not a junky.  some people are not driven and are happy living a crappy life with no money and a beat down house, yes you'll do harder drugs b/c you don't know any better and are looking to improve your life quality with outside resources that are pain and work free.

get a good job, see a doctor, make some money, work out more, get a dog(awesome stress reliever), have sex more and look at yourself, your apartment(house) and the life you live.  if you can handle mild usage of weed, go for it.  i can, i am successful and no one would think twice about me being a stoner in my professional day life.

moral of the story; to each his own, but the gateway drug is not weed, but alcohol.  ban alcohol, keep weed illegal, let's be honest, it's just as easy to get it whether it's legal or not.

My experiance with smokeing marijauna go's back twenty five years.Don't get me wrong I don't have an opinion If you smoke weed or not. When I made up my mind to stop smokeing much to my surprise about three weeks clean and I experanced the most horrific anxiety attacts I couldn't even imagine marijauna withdrawl/side affect of not snokeing? Being anything like this To be truthful I used every day for about the last four years It's very possible all of you recreational weed smokers that have been responding to this post will never experiance this.I'm  writeing this to honestly let peaple know this was possible as I was not awere of these side affects. Back to the original post I'm not sure what the answer is . But when I went to my doctor to find out what to do about the anxiety she prescribed Paxil I've made up my mind to stop useing dope so I'll pass on the Paxil/prozac/busbar ect!! this statement is only my personal experiance so take it for what it's worth Good luck   Scott

I have been taking prozac for a couple years and it has helped with my depression.  I started smoking pot a couple months ago and it makes me feel amazing.  Instead of getting sluggish and lazy like most people I have energy and want to have fun.  And when I smoke I have the most amazing thoughts.  I started recording these complex abstract thoughts in a journal.  when I read them when I am sober I am still really impressed at my insight while high.  Listening to music is also an extremely intense experience while I am high.  I think that prozac may be the reason that my experience with marijuana is different than other people.  Can pot intensify the effects of prozac?  When I started taking prozac I was pretty jittery and anxious, but now it doesn't bother me.  Marijuana and prozac makes me feel full of life and excitement, but also very much at peace with my surroundings.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with smoking marijuana because it does not hurt anyone else! There is absoluty no reason the government has to make weed illegal! nobody has ever died from an overdose of pot! taking to much asprin is very lethal but  it isn't illegal? They keep it illegal so they have something to spend all the tax dollars on.  They keep it illegal because if it were legalized they would have no way of controlling it.  They couldn't roll it up, package it, then tax the hell out of it.  Why????  Well...  too many people know how to cultivate it.  That means us users can grow it ourselves and Uncle Sam gets zilch tax-wise.  It has to do with controls.  If it was legal, we could nab little envelopes of KB seeds out of a catelog and grow personal stuff.  If we grew more than we could handle, it'd be "for sale".  Kind of like a 2nd job that paid under the table.  haha!  See?  It's the inability to control even if they tried to grow it for sale.  (Visualize the government trying to grow hydroponic smoke, packaging it, then trying to collect revenue off something we don't need them to grow!)  They need to give up... wake up and smell the buddage burning.  Wouldn't it smell good????

Not unless there is a major distance between the floor (bare or carpeted) and the bottom of the door itself.  Smoke ain't never good for little kids.  Contact highs are real, and it doesn't take much for a baby to get off.  Roll up a towel and lay it across the bottom of the door if you have a problem with the whole idea that it might creep.
