well in my experience, although it is different from person to person, there is no physical withdrawal from cannabis. the symptoms are purely mental/emotional you become sad pessimistic unmotivated unenthusiastic irritable and sometimes anxious and the best way to sum it up is that you feel like your dog just died. the best ways to avoid this feeling are exercise hobbies and fluffy animals or at least that's what worked for me. I used the time that i would have spent either looking for or smoking the weed to volunteer at an animal shelter, made extra money walking dogs, and getting myself in shape.

THC is more mental than physical but Mental addictions are some times harder to over come such as in smokeing ciggerates

just legalize it already.  the loss of jobs and money spend on policing it ridiculous.  legalize it, tax it, and give all the money to the schools.  why can i consume enough alcohol that i need 8 hours of sleep for it to leave my system, but i can't smoke a joint that will be gone after an hour?  enough is enough.  i'm tired of having to hide like a criminal to consume a PLANT from God.  if yard grass got you stoned, would we make it illegal too?  wake up!!!!!!

a smoker of so many years will experience some physical withdrawls, but not like typical w/d you'd see with other drugs.  some people find it hard to eat due to loss of appetite and may lose a few pounds.  others deal with diarreah for about a week.  definetly expect to be a complete butthole to everyone around you.  it is for the most part mentally addictive but when it comes to w/d's,  we all know the mind has strong controll over the body (physical).

I smoked it for forty years...When I quit I had cravings for three days have never looked back,my creativity/intuitive/analisis process for producing art,is much better now, when I smoked I thought it was a positive to the creative process,it was...for fifteen minites.
It all depends on the individual.

HI!  From what I know it is addictive but not in a physical way .It's more a phycological thing. no real withdrawal problems other than adjusting your mental state of mind. He can do it !! good Luck and  GOD BLESS YOU BOTH IN JESUS NAME A-MEN!!!

Absolutely marijuana is addictive, but only mentally and no physical w/d's. he may be crabby for awhile, possible anxiety, aggitation, but i think after a few weeks, most of the cravings and such will go away. Quitting pot just takes a bit of willpower.

HI,
I smoked hard in my younger years. Theres a mental part to quiting. He may miss it, but I dont remember having any physical type W/D's when i stopped that pace. I did feel a heck of alot sharper after a while though.
