methadone maintenance

Help with methadone maintenance I don't want to be tied up any more with my daily visits to my clinic. Just wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with switching methadone 95mg once daily, to fentanyl patch 100mcg Hour patch? or know the methadone mg fentanyl dose equivalents?

Are you looking for a new maintenance drug or are you wanting to get away from opiates all together? Fentanyl is way stronger, so I am trying to understand your ultimate goals.

you could not pay me a million dollars to go on fentanyl

i am past 60 days and STILL have withdrawal symptoms.  still severe lack of energy even though i am taking tons of vitamins, moving around, etc

the side effects while on it were HORRIBLE.  noticeable change in personality, legs and arms feel like lead, chest heavy, more pain, memory loss, hair loss and this is  WHILE on it.  i could go on and on.  
as far as withdrawal i think they are both long, hard withdrawals, but the lessor of the evils has to be methodone

all i know about equivalents is

50 mcg patch is equal to 80 mg oxycontin

so if you know the conversion for oxycontin to methodone you will figure it out

From what I've seen of fentanyl detox and my own year long, slow methadone recovery, I think fentanyl and methadone are only different in dosage. The full synthetic nature and side effects of both methadone and fentanyl make them very close tie for the worst detox ever. As I vomit and shat myself in my yard from methadone detox, I remember wishing I was a heroin or any other kind of addict. Anyway, mute point, but wanted to share.
