Hello to all of you. I went into detox on Aug. 18, 2013 for methadone. It was and still is living hell but not nearly as bad as when I began. My knees, ankles, and feet still jerk around and hurt like there's not tomorrow and this is putting it politely! My biceps are a   lways tense, and at time my heart beats so hard. It's been almost 3 months now. I was on 120mg then dropped to 70, 60, 50 & then 0. this was over a 6 year time frame. Does anyone know how long these symptoms last. I am so tired of being sick and tired. At age 46 I finally found out that I no longer have time to waste using drugs. When I look back I don't have to ask where my life has gone. I know. But I know that I am done for sure. If anyone knows of a rough time frame please, please let me know. It appears that exercise and vitamins may help a lot. As much as it hurts physically, I am going to begin trying to leave the house from my prone position and slowly build myself back up and the vitamins will hopefully help remove it quicker. Last, I have found a job that I really want to apply for. Will the methadone still show on a drug screen?  Thanks to any of you that can help.  [Less]

Maybe I TOTALLY misunderstood what you do to "help" others here??

Are you saying you set fire to peoples cars and beat people up?

Like you are some vigilante....using fear to try and control the drug scene?

If your answer to any of those questions is yes.....I completely withdraw any and all of my comments to you~

thanks dude yeah i know they do i'm not perfect the ways i get things done but at least the kids stand with me  dont like been violent but these people wont respond unless u scare them its bad but its doing a better thing i suppose  as long as they listen and see what drugs do to you and your family there learning but i worry when they hear that i setting fire to peoples cars and beating up others that its ok to be violent but its not just you have to become a rat to defeat one i suppose its doing a greater good driving the scum away the town is a better place now than it has been for 10 years or more

Congratulations on overcoming methadone!  Sounds like you have a heart for helping others now....and you KNOW that helps you stay clean more than anyone else.  A young man, such as yourself, is a breath of fresh air...since all young people need a strong role model.  Keep on keepin on~

Great Job! I DO know how hard it was having 315days off of a 12year ride on the beast. It was ride I will never want to repeat coming off 2 other meds with it. Believe it or not I have heard that Trams can be just as hard as Dones, Can you imagine? ekkkk
CONGRATULATIONS to YOU!!! Yahoo!!!

doing great wouldn't cover the half of it confidence has never been higher even been able to help 2 friends go cold turkey and drive the dealers out of town even our police the garda couldn't do it so put it in my hands once they failed i done it nicely too so kind of  looked up to now by the kids so i will help them stay away because never had anyone to do it for me but all is good thank god for the strenght and motivation to do well every day living every  day as if it my last all the things i took for granted are now the things that give me the will and power to succeed if you dont want to do it for yourself you will fail i learned that along the way but i'm a stronger better person now and all i want to do is help anyone i can :D
