thanks all, i did swich from medtadone to vico, i couldnt take the pain, i am hoping to ween off it in 2 weeks, giving the meth some time to get out of my body, i am also seeking drs to help me incase that doesnt work, may be i can go on suboxin from a dr. i am trying to set up help so when i have no vicoden, i will already have the help of a dr.It seems there are almost no dr to help going off this stuff when you dont need it any more,, i was put on methadone for tempory medical reasons, now that i had all my surgerys i souldnt need this stuff. but cant find help, i have a dr app today and hope they can refer me to someone

I became physically addicted to vicodin in ten days, so do be careful, also in two weeks time your body may will still be in withdrawals from the methadone, as the half life of methadone is lengthy, so you may get a double wammy? But unlike you, I didnt have any medical problems, I just liked pain pills, so you do whats best for you. I to was gonna go onto suboxone, but decided at the very last minute that for me it was not a good choice, as I didnt want to have to go thru withdrawals anymore, but many people have success off it, its much better then methadone but its still something that you eventually must get off of. It kinda sounds like you fear withdrawls? I guess thats kinda dumb of me to ask cause who doesnt? But the less you fear it the better you will do, this is what was hard for me, I was scared to be clean & scared of feeling bad, finally when I accepted that I was not gonna feel very good for a while, it started to get better. Good luck. Methadone is a bear to get off of. I don't think 2 weeks will be enough time to clear the methadone out of your body.
