on day one

today is my first day on stoping my percacet i called off work today because i was up all nigh
with a migrain i think it is my nerves,i new i was going to stop taking them today i was going
to take my last pill at 5:00 tonight, i work from 3-11 so i thought if i stoped a t 5 i could go
threw withdraws when i got home but sence i feel like **** allready from the migrain and
called off work i will not take anymore today i took one at 6.30 this morning thinking it would
help my migrain but did not. im a little nervous but ready to get my life back i am a little weepy
because i do not no what i am going to go threw and i am scared i don't no what life will be like
i no alot better then what it has been i have taking them for 13 months almost 14 months.can not
wait to wake up and not have to take a pill to feel normal.well i am sure i will be on here alot this
weekend pray for me i am going to need it thank you all for being to kind. wish me good luck

i was scared too, didn't think i could live/function without pills. but we can. actually we can live/function much better without pills. stay strong, you can do this. be sure to check out the health pages here if you haven't already. helpful info. the vitamins do help.

yes, you can do this.  i am not saying it is easy but it can be done.  i know you will think i am crazy, but the sooner you make yourself exercise ...even a short walk...you will feel better.  exercise helps the brain to start to produce endorphines again....up til now the pills have supplied those.  i promise i thought ppl who told me to exercise when i came here were nuts...but then i figured it cant be worse then sitting here ...so i headed out.  the first time i didnt notice much diffrence, but the second time helped me alot so then i was addicted...lol  also check out the health pages to the right of the pages...the aminos and thomas recipe are great.  try those.....good luck...let me know if ya need to chat..

If and when you get weak and think you're about to give in and take a pill, post here!!!

Everyone will be willing to help you gather your strength back.  Live is so much better without pills.  It might not seem like it now, but it is.

Hopefully you will not have terrible withdrawals and you'll be feeling better soon.

thank you i think in a little bit i will try to go outside and walk some. i will probably need
to chat at somepoint because even though my familly no they don't no what is like .no one i know has been on pills i became a addict because of my back i am one of those
people like i am sure alot of us are that did not think it could happen to them and i did not understand people that were and why they could not just stop until now .it is the hardest thing i wish i would have never started.but to late i did and here is sit going threw
hell to get my life back. thanks again all it helps to talk

Congrats on getting your life back.  The wd's are not fun but you need to get the toxins ou  I sttt of your body. You will feel so much better not being a prisoner to those pills.  I remember in the early days of my wd i felt like i had sludge running thru my veins and they would all tell me to get out and try to exercise.  I was like you people are nuts but i figured if they were all telling me to do this i might as well give it a try.  I started out slow and by god if it didnt help.  Keep posting as it really does help.  Before you know it you will be feeling much better.  Just keep fighting and stay strong.  There is a new life out here waiting for you.  You can do this.                sara

I am not sure of ur dose or DOC but calling in for this is a good reason to call in...getting clean is more important than anything right now....be sure u have no pills in ur house as it will be a temptation u do not need...keep posting

i do have pills but my husband has them locked in the safe i feel better knowing that i have them i no that may sound weird to some but if i get rid of them i think it will be
mentally harder.i am haveing a hard time right now my husband called to tell me where
the location of my pill was because he did not no i was stoping today he thought it was going to be tomorrow .so now  i no where it is and i want to take it but  that will just set me back for one more day so i have to be strong it is hard but i think i can get threw it just by writing on here  i hope.

I felt better knowing I had an emergency pill, it doesn't sound weird at all. I never took the "pocket pill" b/c if I did my saftey net would be gone. Some people just work that way I guess, others can't have them around b/c they will be too tempted.
I'm praying for  you, please pray for me as well I didn't make it today I was 3 days clean.

Why do you feel better knowing that you have them if u r planning not to take them anymore....??/ just doesnt sound sensible...but everyone is different
