opiate withdrawal and sugar cravings

Hi everyone.  I just wanted to post about something that is helping me with my overwhelming craving for sweets during my Tramadol taper.  I eat really clean and exercise 5 to 6 days a week....so when, after about 5 weeks of tapering my tramadol, I started having an overwhelming craving for carbs and sweets, it made me cringe!  The last thing I want is to is put on weight during this process because that will make me even more depressed!  Anyway, I was running to the convenience store all last week buying hard candy, chocolate, chips, donuts, etc...cuz I was just craving sugar!  It was crazy!  So I read someplace on this sight about a month ago that some girl who came off tramadol and opiates had used honey sticks to help with her cravings.  So I ordered some off Amazon and omg they are so helpful.  They really hit the spot!  They are healthier than all the junk food so if anyone is feeling the strong sugar cravings while tapering, withdrawing, or detoxing, I would really recommend the honey stix. I got 100 sticks for $13.00 I think and they are so handy.  U can keep them in ur handbag or in ur car, etc...  Just wanted to put it out there for anyone who is struggling with the cravings while coming off drugs.  Take care!

Yes I have heard this a lot. I was not bad but others I know at tons of sugar stuff. If it helps you they this hard time then who cares. But don't overdo it either.

Good luck!!!
