You may want to get Imodium for the stomach issues.  It will dry him up.  Tell him to use heating pads, hot bathes for muscle aches, stretching, and eat bananas.  Get some protein drinks Odwalla are the best!

He is going to have restless legs and twitches for a few more days.  He is going to probably go through some depression in the next few weeks, but he should be getting through the worst of the physcial stuff.

Hi Shebow,
I just wanted to post and say that my husband has been taking (snorting) oxy & perks for the last 3 years or so, I don't know the amount I just know it's a lot and sadly he gets most of his supply from my mother who is an addict as well. He recently told me he was ready to stop - we are starting this weekend when he has a couple days off of work. I'm no table to offer much assistance, but I can say that I am sorry you are experiencing this and that there are many others that are going through the same or similar experiences. I'm here to chat if you are in need.

Also, I've read on here about a Thomas Recipe that is a concoction of vitamins and minerals that can help with the withdrawal symptoms and make for an easier recovery. Just type "Thomas Recipe" in the search and you should get a list of links.

All the best,
Sheena

Is the oxycodone Opana or Opana ER?  If so that it what I am tapering off of, and I would like to connect with you.  I will check back.

Thanks, Marie

Its different for everyone...how many miligrams was each pill? I was taking Norco plus Oxycontin and quit cold turkey 15 days ago. I started feeling better on day 3 BUT I made myself eat each day, made myself get out of the house, and took lots of vitamins. The more you sit around and not eat/do anything, I believe, the longer it will take to feel better.
