Hi Nana, Welcome & thanks for posting!
I couldn't agree more w/ the above posters. This is something that your friend must truly want for herself. Unfortunately, no matter how bad you want it for someone else, it won't happen until they themselves come to a place where they want to change their lives & recognize the trap they're in.
Would it be possible to get her to the site just to read the different posts on forum & check out some of the journals of folks who have been/are in her shoes? So that she can see that it really is possible? We've had people w/ much larger habits, multiple addictions & longer usage time successfully kick here. This place is truly a miracle & this might help to inspire her & show her that that though she might be frightened &/or in denial that this is ABSOLUTELY DOABLE!:))
Please, let us know what you think.:))
Well, that's alot of opiates and at very strong doses. She was on them a very long time. In my humble opinion, she should go see a Dr. Or even maybe rehab. Good Luck!
Dear Nana. Our forum is full of people who've quit drugs. The first step is the user must make a choice to stop. It must be a personal decision. Addiction is a serious & dangerous ailment. It can be conquered thru love, support & desire. So if they want their life back we are here with the love & support. They must provide the desire. Thank you for your question. Pamela
Hi, it would honestly be best if she came on here herself and created an account and talked with us. We can help her with options and recommendations for things to help relieve the process. Second hand information is often lost in translation.
