paxil and alcohol mix

hi everyone. ive been clean off oxycontin for 2 months solid now. as a result i got extremely depressed so i went to my doctor and he perscribed me 10mg paxil. it started working after about a month but recently ive started drinking alcohol about twice a week on weekends because i feel partying on the weekends is the only thing i have to look forward to. and after a weekend of drinking for about 3 days i get even more depressed than i started out as and it gets worse each time. suicidal thoughts, feelings of emptiness, lack of interest in activites, u name it. i was wondering if this is a result of the antidepressants mixing with the alcohol or just the fact that 10mg isnt a high enough dose.

Hey Kiddo~   We aren't doctors here...But we know a few things.  First,you're under age so knock it off. Second,alcohol is a depressant in and of itself. And,lastly, if you read the drug info on Paxil it clearly states that it should not be mixed with alcohol.

You need to stop drinking and let the Paxil do it's job. Okay?
