perhaps no sub. needed?

3rd day in a row at 45 mgs.oxy from 100 5 days ago.maybe i dont need sub.at all.Gotta fig. out what 2 do about the pain when im done  with this.Might just put up with it a while.I never got a buzz off oxy. good pain killer though.Thats what scared me.People told me 90-100 mgs. screwed em up.It took the replies on here to tell  m e maybe i just needed 2 taper off oxy.Why couldnt i think of that.

congrats on the vic.that was quick.your rite about thepschy part of it.its at least 50%.i wouldnt be surprised if ur doc gives u some short term benzo.it really helps.i remember when i was a bad alcoholic.quit in 97.doc raised my 30 some year old script 4benzo way up 4 about a month or so then dropped it back.that month gave me time 2 get a grip     on the fact i dont drink anymore or since.that was quite alot of vic,uve done great.

both legs from 2 procedures,abdominal,a very elevated ibs,xact symtoms of chrons,the quad bypass left alotta chest pain,they say some of that will decrease in about another year

CONGRATS on your tapper, I was on Vics and I used hylands for my legs, and Vitamin B6 and I have cronic pain and I found out that buffered asprin works best for me. Asprin is great for pain of all kind, just don't use if you have any stomach truobles. I am over a 100 days clean. IT CAN BE DONE!!!!  good luck and prayers to you.

freddie, i just got done going from 180-200 mg  of vicky to finishing my lst day Aug 7,  It wasn't easy but I wanted it so bad.  The worst stuff for me so far has been psychological.  Hylands has been amazing for my leg cramps and only today I had to take Ibuprofen 600 for my legs, which i don't like but we'll see if it helps.

The odd thing is I wasn't able to an appt with my addicttion specialist until the end of my taper schedule, and when I showed it to him he was kind of horrified.  Saying anyone that much for that long should take at least two months, so BE CAREFUL!  you don't want to challenge yourself to the point it effs you up.

It sounds like you're doing fantastic.  Don't lose sight of your goal.  It's worth it.

just dropped 5 more  mgs. yesterday slowin down the tapering a lil.started out on fire

i tried vicodin and then trammadol.the vic basically worked but had side effects.already have abdominal problems.vic aggravated it,tramm did noth at all

I also think you can do this without the sub if you're already down to 45 mgs.  Sub is a bear to get off of, take it from me.  It also does NOTHING for pain as far as I'm concerned.  I'm amazed at how well Tylenol and Ibuprofen work - who woulda thought huh lol.  Way to go on your taper and hang in there, you can do this!

Hi-   I really think you can do this without the Sub!!  Just keep going slowly with a taper. In a few weeks you may find that a little bit helps you feel comfortable.Motrin might help you.as well.Keep checking in!!

that is great. you are doing good. keep fighting the good fight.you can do it without the subs.
once you have detoxed it will take about a month to re-evaluate the pain.
what else have you tried for pain management?
