No way, ever. BigPharma has a licence to push anything they want on the public, with trials that would make a first-year science student laugh his buttocks off ... these mangy pushers can get around anything ... remember Purdue (Oxycontin, 1995) paying out a few million for improper labelling, and then, in 2001, stating that they were "close" to marketing a new formulation of oxy that can't be crushed (added naloxone in pellets which would go right through you)? Seen any?

Acetaminophen is Drug of the Week: it's going to be labelled  "3,000 grams could cause hepatic damage" or something, maybe with a photo of Larry Hagman's firsr liver, so BPh will just cut back on the amount of Tylenol in their money-maker.

Well maybe they will pull the formulas for vicodin and percocet how they are now (with 500mgs of APAP in each tablet) but I bet they will come out with a formula with less APAP in them. Vicodin is the #1 most precribed med in America (not just pain med, but ALL meds prescribed) so its doubtful that they will just pull it outright. At least I hope they don't. I've been taking Lortab or Percocet (switched between the two to keep from having to up the doses) for 6 years (never abused) and would hate to think of what they would stick me on instead. No way I'd EVER want to go on something stronger, like Oxycontin. My mom was on that **** for terminal cancer, and the Dr told her the only reason they put her on it was because she'd never have to come off of it.
I think it would be great though if they came out with a lower APAP formula though. I've always thought that it was kind of overkill to have 500mgs per tablet. That's the same as in extra strength Tylonal! Especially since you're getting such a powerful drug with whatever opiate is combined.
We will see what happens. I'm concerned though that they have lowered the 4000mg daily limit of APAP though, without saying what the limit should be. I regularly take up to 3000mgs per day... So does that mean my liver is gonna fail now? Good grief!

No - they wont.....thats merely a suggestion for the Government from the FDA .....its not a binding thing and it hasnt been implemented..... you need to stick with your program and forget about that rescue.........

Not a done deal by any means. An advisory panel has recommended that they be pulled because of the danger that high doses of acetaminophen can cause liver failure.
