recently withdrawals from oxys and withdrawn

I have been on some type of narcotic for 10 years. I started with Lortab, then for the last 4 years have been taking 10mg Immediate release oxy's 6 times a day = 60mg. I went to a hospital to detox and they put me on subtext after three days, I am home now and on 4mg of suboxone a day. I can't move, I have no energy and am constantly hungry. I have to get back to work and pay my bills. I feel like my brain has stopped working and I'm in a fog. I'm very weak. Please help......

It’s a very common thing , to have those emotional thoughts. I used to use 160-240mg of oxy a day. Suboxone made me depressed to the max, lethargy, list goes on.
Doesn’t effect everyone that way. But your symptoms seem very similar to me, and others. I’ve been on the subs for 10 months now. It has never gone away. Trying to work my doctor for depression, concentration, motivating etc.
Fortunately/ unfortunately, I have bad arthritis in my back, and shoulders. I want to go back to other opioids for the pain, and the emotional distress it has caused.
Talk to your doctor, you probably wouldn’t get any oxy though, because know you are a stigma for substance abuse/system.
I ruined my life while admitting I was dependant on the oxy. Because there’s only a 1% chance I’d get prescribed again . I abused it, maybe I deserve it. And now people like me, perhaps not you, seek out other life ruining illicit drugs, because the black list of an addict, will haunt you for years. In my experience.
My advice for myself was this: Taper the subs. Use kratom or anything else to help WD.
It’s a sad road. I’m sorry to hear another story but for suboxone ruining you, but it has also saved many many more lives

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

I'm one of those that went from pills to subs for a short period of time.  I did it ALL wrong....but have since learned a lot from this forum and by educating myself.  So let me share this conversion chart with you that will show you how much sub (bupe) is equivalent to how much oxycodone.

http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/18499/Conversion-table-other-drugs-equivalent-to-sub

As you can see, approx. 1.2 mg of bupe (sub) is equivalent to 20 mg of oxycodone....so if you are on 4 mgs of subs....you are actually taking the equivalent of 80 mg of oxys which is more than you were taking when you went into detox.  Subs are a TOTALLY synthetic opioid and much stronger than fast acting oxycodone....so, in my humble opinion....you are on too much suboxone.  How long are you planning on taking the sub and have they discussed how they will wean you off of it?

I was put on WAY too much sub myself....I was sicker than a dog.....a zombie...I was only on 100 mg of hydos when I quit and they put me on 16 mg of subs which is equivalent to 480 mg of hydo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  No frickin wonder, eh?

I'd talk to the dr that prescribed the sub and see about lowering your dose and discussing a fast taper plan.....at 60 mg a day of oxycodone....you surely don't need a sub habit.....cause then you will have to w/draw from that too, and it's MUCH harder than fast acting oxys.

Best wishes....and keep us posted, ok?

Sorry, i just noticed they switched you from Subutex to Soboxone.
When some people do this it takes a while to adjust from one to the other, because subutex has only 1 main ingredient ( buprenorphine ) and Suboxone has 2 main ingredients ( buprenorphine and Naloxone )
Some people dont take too well to the Naloxone, and have symptoms of what you are feeling right now.
But it could be your dose or the Naloxone.
Hope this helps : )

Hello, you should not be feeling like this on subs.
Subs should give immediate relief ( within the hour ).
All i could think is your dose may be too high or too low.
4mg is quite a low dose but i dont know when its compared to the strength of oxy's.
The usual dose is between 8mg -.16mg a day.
But i was on 32mg daily, some people 24mg, some people 2mg daily.
It just depends on your drug of choice, mine was heroin.
But oxycodone ( if thats what you were taking ), is known as " The Legal Heroin ", so i assume its quite strong.
Maybe get your dose re-valuated, you should have a heap of energy and motivation right now.
Some people do tend to feel like you do because their dose of sub is incorrect.
I started at 12mg and within 1 hour i felt like i had died and gone to heaven, and i was in withdrawals for 17 hours from heroin before i took my first sub.
Instant energy, motivation, happiness, focus etc.
I wish i could be more help.
This is just my opinion so please call your treating doctor.
Take care : )
