my brother in law offered me some roxis for my back pain.  i want to know about them before i take any.  anyone out there know what they are?  are they narcotic?  opiates?

They are generic. Roxicodone. Oxi's with no time release. Don't touch them.

i'm not even sure what oxycodone is.  the strongest i've ever taken is norco

Same thing. They come in different strengths. Its all hydrocodone.
This is going to sound off the wall but it's not. I herniated a disc in my back.I chose not to have surgery. I was still limping after 8 months. I had good doctors. I was never offered a narcotic pain pill from my doctors. I was to the point i would try anything to get better.
I bought this book. Healing Back Pain by Dr John Sarno. Even though i thought it was bull****. I was better in a month....If you have back pain.Try this book.You can get it on line or any book store

Oxycodone....they are like Percocet/Endocet/etc.  As bad as if not worse than Vicodin....you have a problem with narcotics than stay away.

They are a big NO NO. :) Stay far away from them. Make some fish happy and FLUSH them!  You are wise to ask about them.

Roxicodone(OXYCODONE) is MUCH STRONGER THAN Narco/Vicodin(HYDROCODONE!)

There are also 2 different drugs as well.  Just trying to be accurate and stick to the facts.. Although it is a strong narcotic opiate pain killer as well as Vicodin/Narco it is different also.. Dr's and most people I know are aware that oxycodone is a much stronger opiate than hydrocodone!  Plus the strongest dosage of hydrocodone is 10mg if I am not mistaken(unless a special mixture of pill has been requested to be made by a pharmacist), but oxycodone has came as high as 160mg pill form in a time-released pill(oxycontin).. I am not sure they make the 160mg anymroe, but they do still make the 10mg, 20mg, 40mg, and 80mg oxycontin(which is a time-released oxycodone)  Much stronger.

the reason i am asking is because i ran out of norco before my taper was complete and i am wondering how much i should cut down the roxicet to equal what i need to finish the taper.
