I don't have any experience with oxy addiction, despite having done a lot of them at social times for recreation. BUT i can tell you that Prozac could be a huge reason why you feel foggy/confused and if its not working for you (it does actually work wonders for the right people) i would call your doctor and ask if you can stop it for now to see how you feel within the next 3-5 days. I was on Prozac for 2 weeks and started having insane dreams and feeling reality changed negatively. My doc told me to stop it and after a few days i felt worlds better.

Prozac can cause a lot of people to be foggy, confused, feeling like reality is different somehow. So just ask your doc if you can stop and see what they say.

Also ask about Atarax aka Hydroxyzine hcl 25mg. its a really good anti anxiety that i got originally prescribed by an ER doctor after going to the ER 3 times in 4 days for extreme anxiety and pain (weed wasnt helping anymore) and can help you sleep if you need it to in higher doses, very well. Its not addictive and its only side affects are really just sleepiness when taken in higher doses. Its in the family of benadryl so its a really safe thing to try. Just dont mix the two or you'll get knocked out if you're not used to downers.

to Kris123: I also recommend asking your doctor about Atarax (Hydroxyzine hcl 25mg) and lowering your dose of seroquel and taking it earlier in the day as opposed to at night.

Im not a doctor or anything i've just been through a lot of trial and error with many things and do a lot of research. best wishes <3

I take seroquel 400mg at night, I take it for my bipolar and you know I am not sure if it is helpping me or not, I am on suboxone for 10days now, seroquel for about 3 weeks, and I have a hypothyoird.
I thought seroquel would help my anexity but it hasn't so far :(  Like you I get so emotionally out of control that I feel like I need to go to the ER - I have been to the ER twice in the last three weeks because I was emtionally out of control.  I just got of percocets.

Seroquel is an awful drug-I was on it for 2 years-gained allot of weight and it can also cause problems with blood sugar-it has allot of negative side effects-I would NOT take it!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, i was doing 2-3 80mg oxy's a day. then we stopped but tried to buffer the w/d's with 30mg percs which yes i know is a bad idea but i was trying anything to function normally. that was about 2 weeks ago, i havent touched an oc till last night because i just wanted a break from the crappy feeling, i have 2 small children, plus i was put on the seroquell and prozac so i thought id feel better faster......i feel so bad right now ans my husband does too. im sick of our families being here all the time, i just want to feel better, i feel like it's never gonna happen....

That is a very small dose only a 1/4 of a pill.  When did you stop the oxy's?  It seems to me like you probably feel crappy from the w/d's rather than the seroquel.  How many days have you been taking the seroquel?  It does take a few days to get used to them.  Good luck.

You will feel better, I promise.  I told my family on day 3 that I was afraid I would w/d forever and what if I wasnt like everyone else.  I was wrong.  It is day 5 and still some lingering symptoms but pretty darn good all in all!

Hi..I was on seroquel for anxiety and to help me sleep. I was on 100mgs. every night and at that dosage I had no problem falling asleep. I have never heard of a doc prescribing seroquel for detoxing and at 1/4 of a 25mg tablet that is almost non existent. No wonder you and your husband are having such a tough time. If the wds become extreme and you find yourself unable to function properly I think you should call your doctor to see if he can at least increase the dosage for at night so you can get some sleep. The only reason that I can think of for the small dosage is because he wants you to be alert for your kids. I know you said that you wanted to tough it out for the kids sake but isn't it hard enough to go through wds without having to worry about taking care of kids. I applaude you for doing what you feel is best for your kids even if it makes it harder for you. I will be thinking of you and your family and sending you all the best.

my dr told me if I feel anxious to take 1/4 of a 25mg pill and if I cant sleep take another 1/4. But only take 1/2 of the pill if you are able to rest. I have 2 small children and a husband who is fighting to stay off oxy's with me also. So we both feel crappy right now, i dont want to get rid of the kids again because it messes them up ya know, kids like being scheduled, i dont want them to see us always like this, thats why i kissed that pill goodbye last night, we had our last hoorah and that is it for us. we've never felt this bad....

Hi, oxy, seroquel is an antipsychotic.  It is used for that reason and also for people who are depressed and or have trouble sleeping.  I take it myself, 50mg at bed to help me sleep.  I know of others that are on around 400mg for its antipsychotic abilities.  What dosage are you on and how are you supposed to take it?  Let me know and I'll see if I can help you.

yeah I tried syriquil and yes it does help with the restless legs alot but it made me too tired.  Think you're mostly suppose to use it at nite for rest anyways though.  I was havin' such bad withdrawals that I tried it during the day and I kept dozing off lol... which i guess was a good think cause sleep passes alot of the time away.  Syraquil works really good for my opinion.  Hope that helped... take care and good luck Lil.

I am on day 5 c/t from hydro and oxy.  I feel VERY foggy and mentally not with it.  I also feel like I am having a difficult time with motor skills and coordination.  From what I understand it has to do with synapses and your body trying to level itself out again.  I have almost zero short term memory though and even my mom has been commenting on how "slow" I have been.  I have heard in my detox and rehab program that it can take a good 7-14 days to feel really truly "normal" physically.
I have also been taking prozac but they switched my meds today to celexa because prozac is a "speedy" anti depressant and is not the best to treat someone with a combination of anxiety and depression!  I have been on prozac for 8 years and I can honestly say that I have never in my life felt as depressed and anxious as I did days 1-4.  Hang in there, this all takes a ton of patience!
