With this addiction what I learned is to look at your addict brain like this: we all have this gate that let's little bits of dopamine in (the stuff that makes us feel good) and when we take tons of opiates for years more and more gates open,so we need more and more opiates to get that feel good feeling. THEN you quit, this is where the w/d comes in. We have all these gates open,so stuff that would make normal ppl feel good, sex, chocolate, laughter. Doesn't work for us anymore. Because they only have one gate to fill we have dozens and donzens. But over time, like 6months to year those gates go dormat and we can slowly start to feel things again. The second you put a opiate in your system again you wake up all them extra gates. That's the hard part of being an addict.

I think Glassguy is right. If you can handle it now that you have the elimidrol I would just quit taking them. You will be through the worst of it way sooner than dragging it out. I really hope that stuff helps you enough that you can break free. I'm in your corner rooting for you.

Thank you for the encouragement!! The Elimidrol gave me amazing energy and has helped a lot. I'm going to try the nighttime formula tonight. Tomorrow I'm going to try to drink the Elimidrol and not take morning pill... Keep me in your thoughts!

Yay! !!! You told your family cause they can be a big part of the healing and you you are down to 4 pills.  What you need to do is just stop because you are just prolonging the total W/D its time to stop. That's my thought.how ever you do it just know that it is temporary and you can get though it. Good luck and remember No More Norcos.................

I'm having a really rough day with anxiety and depression. Just mad. At myself, my back issue and life. Drinking my first dose of Elimodrol and praying it helps. My house is a wreck and I have to get something done. I'm now down to 4 Norcos a day from an 8/day habit. Thursday I think I'm jumping off. My oldest will be off work through Saturday and can help around the house. I told my family (husband, kids). They're scared for me but were understanding. Sorry for the long reply lol

Imodium for the stomach. Plenty of water. The more, the better, Exercise, even just walking will help with physical and mental parts. Hang in there. I am finishing Day 9 now and still having a few rough patches, but huge difference  fro Day 4-7. Energy comes and goes. Again, exercise, walk, pray, and post. Have you gotten to NA yet. One of the best things I did. Keep posting. Always love. God bless and keep you.

Hang in there my friend. I can't tell you about a second time, but Day 4 and 5 were my worst. Working on Day 8 and still working through a few things, but overall much better. Posting really helps me, Also found NA in the first 4 days and it is really helping. You can do this. By the minute, hour, day. Whatever it takes and don't be hard yourself for having surgery. Just take care of this issue. God Bless.

Welcome back!  There are occasions in life when pain meds will be necessary...surgery certainly qualifies.  With that said, I agree with Frogger that at day 4 the worst of the physical should be about over. You know the drill that sleep and energy will take longer to come back.  Did you follow Dr's orders with the meds or did you find yourself abusing?
Dust yourself off, get back up, and make your plan.

IMO, since your last pill was 4 days ago, whatever your experiencing now should be the worst of it. You should start to feel better real soon.  Don't feel bad about having to take pain meds after surgery, pain can prolong the healing process. We are addicts, but still human. Good luck to you, take care!!
